Show HN: I turned GitHub's contribution graph into a life journal

https://lifetale.io/launch

Hi HN,I'm George. I've built lots of business applications but never a personal application. After staring at my GitHub graph, I realized my actual life doesn't have a contribution chart. My app, Lifetale, gives you ~1,000 squares (one per month of life), colored by how each month felt, not how much you posted. I wanted sharing to be opt-in and limited so you can create 'circles' to share...

I just shipped a tool and wanted a simple and fast blogging system based on markdown. This looks basically, perfect. I'll jump on it now. Nice work!

Show HN: Worktale, a local-first CLI to turn your Git history into a dev journal

https://worktale.org

Hey HN,I built Worktale because I couldn't remember what to say at my last performance review: "What did you ship this quarter?"I'd spent months debugging race conditions, redesigning a reporting pipelines, shipping a major migration — all behind a corporate firewall in private repos. None of it was visible. Not on GitHub. Not on my resume. Not even to me.So I built a CLI that reads your local...

Re:Show HN: GitHub-powered instant developer portfolios on Thursday March 05, 2026 @09:12PM (#47269978)
Hello, thanks for the feedback. I need to only read your profile but GH permissions only have read+write options for this data. I am researching workarounds. That said, I have no workflow or code that changes the profile in any way.
I've used all three and I think markdown is the most effective. I build an AI toolkit that generates TOON for datasets and that works remarkably well too.

Show HN: GitHub-powered instant developer portfolios

I built remotedevelopers.com because I never want to write a resume again.Connect your GitHub → it pulls your repos, skills, activity → generates a portfolio that's always up-to-date.No resume. No cover letter. Just code you've shipped. You can add articles, posts, videos and other content into your timeline for potential employers to get a complete picture of your work. It's AEO/SEO-ready,...

Re:Show HN: Nugx.org – A Fresh Nuget Experience on Saturday February 28, 2026 @04:33PM (#47200506)
Thank you! Yes! Same for me. I built this as a first pass. Look for frequent updates. I really am trying to push tooling and C# DX. Feels like Python/Typescript gets all the love these days.

Thanks! the ranking is based on download counts and release cadence. I'm tweaking based on feedback. Also updating the related/similar packages and the 'setups.'

Show HN: Nugx.org – A Fresh Nuget Experience

https://nugx.org

NuGet's default registry is serviceable, but discovering and comparing packages isn't great.nugx.org (http://nugx.org/) is an alternative front-end with better search, popularity signals, dependency graphs, and a cleaner UI.Built with Noundry (C# packages/tooling). Currently in beta — would love feedback on nugx.org.nugx.org (https://nugx.org/)

Wasn't trying to be 'sketchy.' I gave attribution on the GH repo page and made my goal clear: faster load and refreshed UI.
