One of Braves biggest advertisers is Verizon. That should tell you all you need to know about Brave. Brendan Eich is also anti-gay and anti-vaxx.
Re:Epic Games acquires Bandcamp on Wednesday March 02, 2022 @02:00PM (#30531302)
Are you willing to fund Bandcamp?
Re:Our vision for location-independent salaries at Buffer on Wednesday March 02, 2022 @02:14AM (#30524674)
Who uses buffer?
Re:Trapped in Silicon Valley’s hidden caste system on Wednesday March 02, 2022 @02:09AM (#30524619)
Indians and Asians are some of the most racist people I have worked with as a trans. They are more concerned about what your genitals are than the work you can do. They are especially racist to those who identify as black, latinx, and womxn.
Re:Mozilla Hubs on Tuesday March 01, 2022 @02:26PM (#30518810)
Out of all the things Mozilla can be working on, they really choose this meta knock off crap?
Re:Solid.js feels like what I always wanted React to be on Tuesday March 01, 2022 @01:52AM (#30510534)
Me too. TypeScript is a disaster.
Re:Namecheap: Russia Service Termination on Tuesday March 01, 2022 @12:09AM (#30509885)
I have over 30 domains with Namecheap and will be leaving for good. This move is uncalled for since regular people on both sides are suffering.
Re:Removing cookie consent requests from Firefox iOS on Thursday February 17, 2022 @05:37PM (#30379643)
I used auto web and it rendered Sarai unusable.
This is gimmicky and intrusive to the users. How is this any different from the other 999 solutions that do the same thing?
Re:MonoLisa – A font designed for developers on Tuesday February 15, 2022 @12:13AM (#30343054)
Shame this is such an expensive paid font. Flagging for the shameless promotion.
Re:Is YC a Monopoly? on Monday February 14, 2022 @12:43AM (#30328755)
So is YC now making attempts to fund diverse founders? Why did this only happen under Michael Seibel. Us LGBTQ+ are still under represented.
Re:I have never read a business plan or balance sheet on Monday February 14, 2022 @12:41AM (#30328745)
Austen go back to running your scam school.
Re:Is YC a Monopoly? on Monday February 14, 2022 @12:40AM (#30328743)
how are they not when they have been mostly funding cis-white males?
Crypto has always been about centralization. It's how the VCs make their x10000 return.
We need more founders like Ryan Breslow. This cis-male club of the Valley are full of world class jerks like Marc Andreessen, Garry Tan, and Justin Kan.
Re:Meta is not threatening to leave Europe on Friday February 11, 2022 @12:35PM (#30304311)
Meta should leave Europe. The EU has been anti tech but pro China, why does these rules only apply to American companies?
Peloton, Hopin, is the entire a16z portfolio next?
Re:Twitter misses ad revenue and user growth estimates on Thursday February 10, 2022 @05:41PM (#30293757)
Maybe Meta buys Twitter. The world would be better off with out these two toxic platforms.
What is the balance of privacy and analytics when even privacy friendly tools like Plausible are blocked.
Re:The data are clear: The boys are not all right on Wednesday February 09, 2022 @06:04PM (#30279971)
I am a trans but seeing the attack on cis-hetero men in the last few years is jaw dropping.
Re:Are Product Hunt's featured products still online today? on Wednesday February 09, 2022 @02:28PM (#30277226)
The founder uses it as a funnel for his personal investments as well.
Re:Are Product Hunt's featured products still online today? on Wednesday February 09, 2022 @02:16PM (#30277077)
ProductHunt has become a cess pool of spam and people gaming their voting system to appear as a featured product. Ryan Hoover is too busy with his web3 projects and investments to care.
You can always resell it later. Just don't get apple care and any additional accessories.
Re:Peloton replaces CEO and lays off 2,800 people on Tuesday February 08, 2022 @11:33AM (#30260490)
Did Peloton ever have a real business. They were competing with $200 bikes on Amazon and an iPad.
Most of these employees won't leave as well. The pay and benefits are too good at Spotify. It's all virtue signaling.
How about you donate a portion of your profits to these "groups"? How many marginalized groups have you helped with your cushy career?
All startups should have this mandate. Bringing politics into the job is destroying any innovation that is left in the US.
