More or less the same here. Still situation worsened in the last months. And we are the techies. For "regular people" no doubt it's too much.
They thought that sites would stop using tracking cookies. But most sites use google analytics.
Some sites are using js tricks to override this setting.
I didn't mean complaining is bad, on the contrary, these people just can't complain. I was thinking that if less dramatic circumstances can ruin your productivity, this dramatic situation must be hell.
Meanwhile we're complaining about open floor offices.
"You're posting too fast, please slow down"... for an hour. OK, let's make it a year.
It is and there are official classifications for that.
Ibérico is about the race,
pata negra (black paw) being a best subclass name that expanded to anything first class. If a Spaniard says you are
pata negra, it's actually good, not an indictment on your feet higiene :)
Bellota (acorn) the diet. You can find intermediate categories like "50% raza ibérica" or "recebo" for both.
The worst place I've seen is the dev dept of a bank. It's not just that 200 persons were crammed in a single room, it was that the place was extremely noisy. I pity the guys that were sitting near the coffee machine.

Giving it up for work is not possible. But for entertainment it's different the gp not only mentions Reddit, but other news sites and specifically the ones linked from HN. It's a general trend that almost everybody does, probably because "everybody is doing it".
There are good alternatives like reading books, watching movies or going out. Web sites are shooting themselves in their feet. Blockers end up being too much work with this arms race. They think they're "winning" when they're actually just selecting the people that can't choose.
The real threat for you is becoming the hero that must put ridiculously long hours to keep the wheels running. At that point I would ask for underlings, a big pay or leave.
people with mental mutations are more likely to have physical onesIs this a known fact? (Where) can I find more information on it?
I usually end up skimming/skipping lengthy food descriptions in fantasy books. My experience with fantasy books is The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I tried LotR first, throwed it away after a few pages and, following advice from an expert, bought The Hobbit, that was a quick and enjoyable read. Then I turned to LotR, much better that time. But the third part was painful, not because the food, but the endless tour into Mordor. I skipped most of it, just scanning through pages to see if someone interesting showed. I guess there's a detail level beyond what regular readers get lost.
