Thank you for the kind words! It might be the end for this particular search, but I created a framework where others can do similar historical investigations. It codified the processes that worked well and alerts the agent to some of the gotchas I came across. It basically turns a coding agent into a kind of historical research agent.

You know you don't have to comment on everything you see on the internet, right? You're allowed to just keep scrolling when something isn't for you. I wonder how much joy you have in your life, I suspect very little, if anything.
Okay, for those of you that do not enjoy fun, I just added a button at the top of the page to turn off the special effects.
I just did something similar with historical archives: https://jessewaites.com/blog/post/i-pointed-ai-at-400-years-...
How I used AI to investigate millions of historical records and surfaced a forgotten meteorite report, three lost rhinos, and unrecorded volcano eruptions.

When Antigravity first came out, when I installed it, it made itself the default application to open all programming file types.... .txt. json, csv, you name it. It was absolutely infuriating and took me a month to put everything back to normal. So they've lost a lot of trust with me.

FYI, America.gov accepts the Konomi Code.
Re:Ask HN: What are you working on? (September 2026) on Sunday September 13, 2026 @08:55PM (#49690489)
An Openclaw, Hermes Agent type system that is meant to be ran on a home server, built in Rails with a Tauri 2 front-end.
Interesting. Can you tell me more about this? I have an upcoming project that will use these disks. Thanks!

I'm not trying to be rude or unappreciative, but it's kinda crazy to me that the website itself doesn't contain the demo of the thing? I see sample code to implement it on my own site, but the site itself doesn't seem to have any highlighting or I highlighted some text and didn't see anything unusual? Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm missing something here? I'd like to see an example of what a thing does before straight up installing the code on my website.
Re:Herdr is joining Y Combinator. The runtime stays open on Friday August 07, 2026 @11:40AM (#49212159)
I have a bit of a contrarian thought here, but I tried Herdr and I didn't like it. To me, it kind of proved the opposite point it intended, in that agent orchestration actually belongs at the terminal level. I'd like to see for example a fork of Ghostty become the agent orchestration control room.
To circumvent distillation.
Rowboat markets itself as "local-first," but if you look in the actual codebase, transcription is Deepgram cloud, voice is ElevenLabs, analytics is PostHog, and the LLM is a cloud API.
Re:RubyLLM: A Ruby framework for all major AI providers on Wednesday June 24, 2026 @04:26PM (#48665201)
Why build it in such a way that there you're locked into one provider when you can just use this tool and have the ability to choose any provider in the future? I mean, even for fallbacks, like what if anthropic API is down that particular day when you need the service?
RubyLLM is where its at.

Re:Ask HN: Being told to support IE6, any advice? on Monday December 31, 2018 @02:33PM (#18796419)
Anybody know if StimulusJS works on older browsers?
Re:Ask HN: Books you read in 2018? on Wednesday December 12, 2018 @09:25AM (#18664102)
We Are Legion (We Are Bob) was my flat-out favorite series this year. I'm positive that a lot of HN users would love it. The Punch Escrow by Tal Klein was also a favorite of this year.
I have a coinbase account, but it looks like like a Coinbase Commerce account. Commerce wont accept my regular Coinbase login. I guess I have to create a new account?
ELI5?
Whats a js library that would do this? Would love to put a demo up on my website to show the user.
