You can use third party libs like Avalonia[1] or Uno[2]

dot.net is the official starting point. It'll point you to getting setup with .NET dev on Linux. You can either use VSCode or Intellij Rider.
Heh, I could've written this comment. I also found myself 2 hours south in a small Ohio park.
> For the payment situation for example, Apple Pay (and Google Pay) use EMV Tokenization so that your actual credit card number is obfuscated

As does Samsung Pay. As could any number of tap to pay providers, if Apple would let them on iOS.

Re:Inside the Massive Alleged AT&T Data Breach on Tuesday March 19, 2024 @09:44AM (#39755660)
I got a notification from HIBP about this with my email address. I'm not currently an AT&T customer, but I was a customer of them back in 2015-2017 for AT&T UVerse.
I disagree. The language was probably more inspired by C#, which is itself inspired by Java. Type erasure is just part of transpiling to JS.
In the US they are, thanks to Citizens United.

I live in suburban Detroit, and there's a few 24 hour CVS and Walgreen's near me.

Are there any surprises here? For me, it's how well the .NET regex lib does in compiled mode.

I mean, they are, so where's the lie?

So is your argument that NPR is a mouthpiece for the US government? I think that requires some evidence, rather than flinging about flimsy associations like this.

The ones I've used in the past (HelloFresh and one other I can't remember) used plain paper bags, like you'd get at the grocery store.

So many red flags there. Wearing airpods while driving, and then also holding your phone while driving?

People like you make me nervous when I drive.

We're actually at historic lows for # of derailments in the US over the past 30 years
This is a GitHub-specific issue, so I don't think Git should do anything about it.

Parent Teacher Association/Organization, basically a parents group for a school.
> The fact that we do not have a standardized national ID easily available to everyone is embarrassing.

Surely that's hyperbole. State IDs are pretty standardized, and even more so with the REAL ID system (if the mandates for it ever go into effect). When have you ever had a problem using one state's ID in another state?

Not typically, but that is how the LastPass breach occurred.

Just saying "gRPC over HTTP" doesn't solve any of the sentence you quoted.

> common architectural backplane with well-understood integration and communication conventions, whatever you want or need it to be

Regardless of the tech used to implement, this paradigm needs to be solved to have a good system. That backplane is not an implementation, but a set of understood guiderails for inter-module communication.

Even with gRPC, both sides need to know what to call and what to provide and expect in response. That's the "conventions" part. Having consistency is more important than the underlying tech. Just simple ReST over HTTP works just as well as gRPC.
