Taxing rich people, while being a recurring topic, is not part of the current demands. It's firstly high schoolers who want a fair system after the "bac", heat during winter and a roof on their head.
How do you think non violent and peaceful demonstrators organise?
It's obvious that the author wants to make a statement, and has their own reason to not expose their work on GitHub. Setting up a mirror would probably contradict these reasons.
I don't know what basis these numbers are estimated on, but my M2 Ultra 128GB runs almost twice as fast as what's reported for the M3 Ultra 512GB.
I wished there was such a tool before picking my hardware, it's useful. But the estimates needs to be somewhat correct.
Can't we just appreciate that exceptionality as it is?
Somehow, I wish we would leave that creature alone. For once.
I don't understand the price, or the marketing. They promote 25 tokens/s for Qwen 3.8 Flash Next Q2, I get at least 2x that speed with an M2 Ultra for the same model on dQ4. I was hesitant buying Framework, but unless I'm looking from the wrong angle, this doesn't look like a good bargain for such usage.
I don't know the model behind this, but it is absurdly bad.
> Write me a coherent paragraph in French, without ever using the letter "e".
> Voilà une phrase claire et concise : "Le village est situé dans les montagnes. Le soleil est haut. Il y a des animaux dans le village. Il pleut dans les montagnes."
I suppose this is just a demo of how fast an LLM can be, I wonder if there are tradeoffs with larger/smarter models. Also, for a human usage, at what point are tokens generated fast enough that it's pretty much instant? My bet is below 1000 tps
I read the post and the comments here, I might belong to the 1% (apparently) who really do not relate at all. Or maybe I just own/tinker with less hardware than the average here.
I recently followed through the Marie Kondo methodology, and giving up my cables (the ones I actually don't use, the ones "I might need later, some day, maybe") to my local community was a relief. Cables are obviously a tiny proportion of what the methodology covers, but part of my mental load anyway. Now, I know they have a greater chance to be used, and if I ever need one again, all of these cables are common enough to find them again.
They are buying the people and the brand. Even Adam admitted that AI impacted dramatically their business. Selling UI templates in the current era is likely a dead end, even with a brand as strong as Tailwind.
I hope Adam and the team are well and good with this decision. Tailwind is regularly debated here for various reasons, using it helped me have a better understanding of CSS, HTML and design, and made me a better software engineer. Thanks for building and sharing Tailwind!
Even after a few years deep into AI, I find your application absolutely magic. This is very inspiring, thank you for sharing.
I don't understand the logic behind model sizes and quantization.
Suppose I have 100GB of unified memory, how should I know which model suits it best? I understand how a 2.4T model wouldn't fit, but I don't understand the impact of quantization and whether I should use a 200G model quantised to fit say 90GB of memory, or a non-quantised 90G model.
Added 20+ languages in the mix, based on the available languages in the survey
I can get behind some comments here that the buildings are representative of the institution of Europe, not the people. I love the birds, and probably naturally settled to the one where the buildings are less visible ^^
I found it hard to vote just by saying "I like this design" for each one individually. Since we have a set of limited option, I'd rather compare and pick the ones I prefer in comparison of the others.
I helped Claude build a simple web app (static, local, oss) to make you choose among pairs, to progressively determine your personal preference.
It outputs your top 3, you can share the summary like this:
Recto Verso Euro
My top euro banknote designs:
Design H
Design D
Design B

It's very WIP, but I found this approach useful to fill the survey, so why not share
Top comments discuss the price, the design, the tech, which is what I expect on HN of course.
I do question: why? $8000 to pick up the laundry and fold clothes. Good god, is this what innovation and technology aspires to achieve in 2026?

Statsig is a half-baked product bought out by OpenAI for data harvesting. We already reported 2 documentation issues and 1 critical technical issue, and we're barely using it.
I appreciate your comment, and can relate. I tested a couple of "memory" systems, doing some heavy lifting or seemingly implementation of theories (layering, hot memory, etc), I can't really tell if they improve performance, quality or reliability on a task. But they do increase the overhead, for the LLM and for me, that's for sure.
One problem I have is that now CLAUDE.md or skills tend to get version controlled within projects, I suspect they could get in the way sometimes.
There is already so much fatigue induced by these systems, adding another one willingly does sound crazy.
That is simply not true. We call it "tennis de table" when it comes to the sport, and we call it "ping pong" when you play at a camping in flip flops.
I am not the author, his blog posts about the topic were very helpful in my process to 1. become aware of my own addiction 2. be confident in changing habits, and phone.
A lot of discussions online involve "you can disable notifications on a normal smartphone" or "you can use Screen Time to limit yourself" or, the worst, "just have some discipline". Imagine telling a cigarette or a drug addict "just have some discipline", it makes zero sense and shows a total lack of understanding of what is at stake.
There are various kinds of addictions, and saying "smartphone addiction" is a convenient way to hide more individual potential issues. For me, it is "internet addiction", and the ability to be connected any second with a small computer in my pocket is part of the problem. So replacing the object itself is, for my case, a necessary first step.
This article resonates a lot for me, and in 2026 the offer of "dumbphones" seems to have reached a level where people have some choice. To each their flavour, I'm testing one, let's see where that leads.

One conclusion is:
> Not adding the domain to Google Search Console immediately.
I don't understand. What is Google Search Console, and should I add all my domains there right now?
I agree that government legislation is part of the equation, but I don't agree that moving to other platforms is not a solution. If Discord were to witness a significant exodus of paying users
because of this new verification process, they would probably start fighting the fight themselves.
That said, I don't expect this to happen, switching is very hard for many reasons.

The major companies that made available the very tools they use to create this spam code, applied the exact same ethics.
This is illegal practice in the EU
I read through the speech, I'm still not sure if this is adopted or not. I found
https://www.eu-inc.org/ which seems to be the origin of the proposal, but mentions a final implementation for 2027.
Just heard about this initiative as a European, I don't have an opinion yet.
Just tried Kingly, really liked it!
