Also, what is registering for? Does it only save my preferences?
Re:Invidious: an alternative front-end to YouTube on Friday November 15, 2019 @03:58AM (#21543372)
Is it possible to display my "Subscriptions" screen from YT? That's the only thing I use to decide what's to watch next.

I understand that you may want to collect email addresses to use them later, it's up to you :) But then remove the RSS icon from the single issue page ;)
Re:Show HN: Coding Tips Every Monday on Monday October 14, 2019 @04:43AM (#21246232)
Cannot you add it as an alternative to email subscription?
Re:Show HN: Coding Tips Every Monday on Monday October 14, 2019 @01:38AM (#21245519)
I don't like to receive emails like that. I would be happy to subscribe to an RSS though. Is it available?

I noticed an RSS button in the sample issue. Will it work for all the future releases?

Not for google. They want to kill links.

I think it highly depends on where you live. Although some rules are universal, many aspects rely on taxes and laws in your country/area.
Re:Ask HN: What did HN give you in 2018? on Thursday December 27, 2018 @03:47PM (#18772512)
Someone wrote it in a similar thread, I benefited from it so I want to write it again, for future readers.

I heard about someone (and then more people replied) that read "Healing Back Pain" book by John Sarno [1] and finally got rid of back pain. However strange it sounds, it seems to work. I didn't finish it yet but I already see the benefits.

Re:Ask HN: Career advice for the next years? on Thursday December 27, 2018 @03:30PM (#18772379)
My advise will be probably different: do a job that gives the highest salary and try to invest in something that gives you some (near) passive income. You're young so you have many possibilities and your earnings can be almost endless. Then in several years you will be selecting job only by they fun-ratio.

No C#, useless for me.
Re:Ask HN: How did you get introduced to HN? on Friday October 12, 2018 @01:53AM (#18199548)
I was looking for some news aggregator for tech industry (having RSS feed) and found this on one of the "top 10" websites.
Well, feedly does inject ads so it is a thing.
Did anyone use it? Is it any good?

Why there is no demo to try but it forces me to create an account?

Re:Handy GitHub File Explorer on Sunday August 26, 2018 @03:56PM (#17847537)
What about Firefox support?
I would recommend Boris Akunin (I suggest to start with Erast Fandorin series), I don't know whether he is known in the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Akunin
I changed the title to be more precise. Sorry for that but I wasn't aware that it's for older version only.
Re:Ask HN: Do you subscribe to print magazines anymore? on Monday February 05, 2018 @02:16AM (#16307147)
I am also a happy NG subscriber.
Re:Ask HN: I would pay X for Y on Thursday November 02, 2017 @03:53AM (#15608592)
I would pay up to $300 for a NAS with at least two hard drives bays working in RAID and an open linux-based operating system (with root access). Hard disks are no included in that price.
