Hi dang! This article is behind a soft paywall, so I thought it would be helpful to the HN community.
Edited! Although I am a user too (I read ~60 articles/mo with it), it's better to be safe than sorry! (:
I created a tool called Playtext.app, which is a pocket-like app that auto-converts articles into audio.

Is this even legal? How can sites host other ones' content, and that's ok?

- Is it fair use because it's "archiving" the web?

- Is it because it's on the open web and it's public domain?

- Or is it illegal, and people do it because they can ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
