Re:Training a small model to run a house on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @11:38AM (#49994370)
Spent the last couple of weeks learning to fine-tune a model from scratch; tried it on my RTX 3060, hoping I don't make it worse. The end results were pretty surprising. I'm thinking about improving/bumping the score even further. I strongly believe that asking my agent to run the vacuum shouldn't need a round trip to a frontier model in the cloud. Would love your thoughts on this.
I am going to give this a try on my jail-broken kindle, wish me luck.
This is great, I have tried a couple different ways to hook up my Home assistant with Openclaw, Maybe my claw is bloated but a custom agent implementation which just has access to HA tool calling performs way better, although it costs money(Claude API). Would love to give this model a try and see how it performs.

It ingests a raw OpenAPI spec...
