Re:Is Beef Bad for the Environment? on Monday July 19, 2021 @02:41AM (#27879879)
Honest question: is anyone addressing the fact that cattle size in Europe hasn't changed much in the last 100 years while it has skyrocketed in e.g. South America? Isn't that a bit worrying? Are they overproducing? Or am I missing something glaring?

they shut off the whole app, and kicked off who was logged in. Fair approach until they figure out how to sort it.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting to hear someone is trying to take care of this aspect. Especially since it's very much underplayed in our industry.
Is the name intentionally sounding like "basura"? In Spanish it means "trash"

Here's the keyword: graveyard. No? Dead humans? Wink wink

> We don’t need 5G for our phones to work right now. It’s just that no study to date proves it’s safe.

Which is fair. I also wonder, wasn't there any actual study at all regarding the health concerns that have been raised?

Re:I had Covid-19, and these are the things nobody tells you on Wednesday August 19, 2020 @01:46AM (#24207517)
Two weeks is tolerable. And probably we got acquainted with it. Even in the worst of cases for the influenza virus. We know what it does, we know how to cure it...

Now compare that to almost 5 weeks of that (at least from personal experience) and no clue if it could get even worse. Are you actually in a risk group without knowing? Are you currently having vitamin deficiency or immunocompromised, maybe fighting another virus? Good luck with that. Not even talking about long term damage to your neural system. Fuck that.

Without better and deeper research on it I'll try to do my best to contain the situation as much as possible. Thinking otherwise means jeopardising friends and family health.

Worth it? Happy with it?
For someone that was using GMusic as an online store of my own digitalised albums, what would be the alternative, to have something distributed that could stream across device?

Somewhat surprised not to see protonvpn
Same here. Same pattern as experienced by others in this thread. I've gone on and off for about 3/4 weeks. Ended up with anosmia for a good 5 days. My gf still hasn't fully recovered after a month, still has problems smelling light flavours.

We both started almost immediately to take vitamin D, but no idea how much that helped.

Da fuq? Did you manage to get anything back?
Interesting.... If I could only read it!
This is really cool. Thanks for creating it and sharing it. Already installed :)

For personal use it should fall into the fair use category, so you should be fine.
Re:Ask HN: FastMail vs. ProtonMail? on Tuesday March 12, 2019 @05:32PM (#19373258)
I think this settles it.
Far from it. UK politicians have an even more narrow and outdated view about the internet. With the difference that they have nobody arguing against it.

Granted
Interestingly enough I haven't read anyone suggesting this: Macromedia Freehand. Before Adobe acquired Macromedia and killed it in favour of Illustrator, it was probably the best vector drawing program you could get at the time.

I'd love to resurrect it and make it open source.

This: basically another Sketch. Currently the only "modern tool" that works cross platform is Figma.
