question: would it be possible/smart to have a system where the entity that is authenticating you has a way to disclose to you the maximum password complexity that it can handle ? Something like a GeekCode string that you can feed to your password generator and come out with a the strongest password possibly handled by the system ?
no. YouTube Premium does not block sponsored content.
ditto for me. word for word.
even simpler, they could have used morse code ...
or you can dual boot using to a different installation of macOS or Linux using an external hard drive. I definitely do not advocate using the same installation provided by the university since it will be monitored.
see bone conducting headphones like Shokz products mentioned in a different comment in this thread
seriously ? I have experienced the opposite. Got a TREKZ Titanium as leave-behind from my son. I love them. This Black Friday I got some OpenRun and had to return them as they did not sound just as good. what a mistery
I used to go there thirty years ago when I still lived in the area. Great place to have fun.
thank you for the reminder to donate ! I listen to soma.fm all the time
PasswordSafe (pwsafe.org) plus dropbox on Windows. pwSafe2 (app77 LLC) on Mac and iphone.
I favor a smaller program that has been audited and has less attack surface.
I would place the yubikey on top of a small squared base made out of Sugru, therefore elevating it and making it easier to press.. If you are concerned about the stress on the usb port then you use one of those "right angle usb cable" short cables available on amazon.
shut up and take my money already !
If WireGuard is so great (rethorical position, not actually doubting it is) why isn't there a Kickstart effort or some angel funding to speed up its development to all platforms ?
big fan of Logitech Trackman Marble. I own like ten of them. I use them everywhere. They are indestructible, they don't require batteries and they occupy a fixed space of my choosing. With them I can easily navigate the large real estate of my dual monitor setup. Polish the ball with a little Pledge and your cursor flies cross the screeen with a little flick of the wrist.
Router is a PC Engines APU2 (apu2c4) running OpenBSD, wireless APs are Buffalo and run OpenWRT in plain bridging mode.
Ditto! Could not have said it better.
me, 51yo, system administrator.
Grew up marvelling at Apple Writer knowing that a guy wrote it in a cabin in the woods.
Sir, you were (and still are) a great inspiration !
I am using PasswordSafe ( pwsafe.org ) and Dropbox to sync to the cloud. I do not use autofill, nor I asked my browser to manage my passwords. There are a mix of opensource and commercial implementation covering all platforms (iOS, Android and what not). PasswordSafe has also been audited.
Why isn't PasswordSafe more popular ? What do other password managers have that Password Safe does not ?
