Yes, but a junior developer's role in any company regardless of size is most definitely not to come in and say how they could do it better and the company should change their workflow.
Stop upvoting this crap, it was submitted YESTERDAY for crying out loud.
Doing the wrong thing (completely ignoring Norma) < doing the right thing for the wrong reason (RMA because of the bad publicity) < doing the right thing for the right reason (RMA because someone at NE screwed up) < doing the right thing in the first place (RMA when it was originally asked for)
Clearly Newegg is in one of the middle categories. Personally, I think as long as customers are taken care of it doesn't so much matter what the decision making behind it is.
I get the impression you turn everything into a political tirade.

What type of diversity are you referring to? Is this really something that factors into a decision about where to live?
I would think saying "I want to live somewhere where everybody is different than me" is almost as bad as saying "I want to live somewhere where everybody is the same as me"
I'm assuming you're in the US, and this is not at all what the ACA does (which is the closest approximation to a US version of NHS).

That author needs to either learn English or blog in his native language. It was downright painful to read.
Easily one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I believe maratd was referring the present and future, whereas you're linking to things than happened well over a decade ago.
This. 5 years ago it may have been easier, but I don't remember the last time I was even able to connect to a free publicly available wifi signal, whether I did or not.
If you're going to implicate every major US telecom company in a massive conspiracy to commit a crime, you should probably have a source.
Or not be crazy.
Can someone with VC experience (on either side of the table) explain what part of an investment goes into the founder's pocket? Does it change with each deal or is there a standard percentage?
Obviously a $10MM investment does not equate to a $10MM deposit in the founder's personal bank account, but at what point is the founder no longer expected to live on Ramen?
A couple months old, but there's some really interesting data analysis in here.

I'm curious what your Master's is in and what "type" you're surrounded by.
It's fascinating how much money there is in things that are at best ethically unsound and legally questionable, and at worst completely illegal (no real shocker in the latter, though).
Gotcha. I was blinded by my own secular zealotry!
This has been posted a few times and is almost a year old. It is an excellent blog, though. Worth reading the newer entries.
Ever think about swapping out your own affiliate link for a small percentage of the posts?
Those people aren't typically hackers.
Can you please explain what you're talking about?
I agree.
I've been using OSX for about 3 years now. I just recently built and set up a PC with Windows 7 in the past 3-4 months. I am in absolutely no hurry to upgrade barring some huge technological innovation, which I have no reason to believe will be coming from Windows 8.
I was in the same boat as the parent post until your third bullet. That's certainly enough to keep the mortgage paid and food on the table, so I think now is the
perfect time to do what you're doing. When the kids go to school and things get more expensive for you it'll be harder and harder to make this decision.
Best to find out now if it's sustainable for you. Good luck.
I think most people are more likely to work at a job they dislike and spend their weekends on their own endeavors than the other way around, that's all.
Let's stop pretending that the terms "Israeli" and "Jew" are interchangable, because they're not. While it may have at the beginning, I don't think Jewishness or lack thereof has anything to do with the West Bank. At this point it's a dispute over citizenship, property, and human rights.
I say this as an American with no connection to either side.
I would hope your identity was more closely linked to friends, family and hobbies than your career, regardless of how much you enjoy what you do.
