Check out the login page: http://zend.usetrackthis.com/session/login

You can use your Google, Yahoo, AOL, Facebook, MySpace or any OpenID (Wordpress, Blogger, etc). I'd imagine most people have at least one of those accounts.

I'll work on adding some examples.

I did consider email tracking w/o an account, but haven't yet implemented it. At least creating an account is fairly low friction due to OpenID.

Ask YC: Feedback on new TrackThis design/features

My recent move from student to unemployed has given me time to completely rework one of my side projects.Old site: http://www.usetrackthis.com New site: http://zend.usetrackthis.com (new design, email/SMS/Facebook tracking)I'd appreciate any feedback on the new design or features. Thanks.Note that the new site isn't totally live, so if you add any packages they won't be updated (yet).

Thanks, I knew it'd be a tough one to monetize, or else I would've done something earlier. Perhaps some sort of donation nag screen on the website would increase the donation rate. It definitely doesn't take a lot of resources to run, but I just wanted to gather some feedback

Awhile ago I added a thanks/pls donate direct message nag when a first-time user submits a package. The results have been pretty poor, and theres been one complaint on the Uservoice.

~20 new users daily, ~40 new packages daily, ~180 unique users with stuff being tracked, ~150 updates sent out daily

Ask HN: Monetizing a Twitter bot?

I run http://usetrackthis.com (track your packages by Twitter direct message/email/SMS) and am looking for feedback on monetizing or improving it.Right now all the action occurs through Twitter direct messages, so I don't have many pageviews to take advantage of. I've thought a couple strategies:1. Deliver ads through Twitter once per user/per package/per update (how much SMS spam will users...

No, the old article was pretty weak, just a couple of lines and a link to the TechCrunch launch post.
I already moved the tag, this article links to a specific revision of the article, not the actual article
This method of deletion (prod) is sometimes used as a way to force people/fans to improve the article. To contest the deletion all one has to do is remove the tag, and hopefully improve the article before it is sent to a full deletion discussion.
Rather than just complaining about Wikipedia, I've contested the deletion by removing the prod tag and added some sources from major publications. Please help add references from reliable sources (blogs dont count) or help copyedit the article.

Here's a good search for finding reliable sources: http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=%22y+combinator%22+so...

You may want to change your passwords and your mobile email address. Both were accessible.
I'd like a page that lists all the updates from those that I'm following (like a standard Twitter client) but with a link to expand the conversation around each update
