All trains are stuck in south of France for « broken signalisation ». Wonder how related this is.

Edit: it was related

Edit2: They edited the article stating it wasn't related.

Re:Libghostty Is Coming on Tuesday September 23, 2025 @01:50PM (#45350489)
Chill, there was literally one single update since the initial launch. It's not like it's getting breaking changes every day.
Re:Claude Code: Now in Beta in Zed on Wednesday September 03, 2025 @04:17PM (#45119947)
extentions in Zed are just languages support and themes.
Re:We rewrote the Ghostty GTK application on Friday August 15, 2025 @06:26AM (#44910613)
I'm not sure how the fact that it's complicated to compile makes it unready for prime time.

As for $TERM, you can simply default it to `xterm-256color` which is more than enough

Re:You Can Now Disable All AI Features in Zed on Wednesday July 23, 2025 @01:21PM (#44661649)
Remember that Zed hasn't reached 1.0. On other platform, it is much faster and consume much less battery. Just like ghostty, to me the most attracting feature is knowing my editor/term is not backed by a browser engine.
Of course. But I wouldn’t qualify "multi-container use" to be an advantage of intrusive data structures per se.
That's not an advantage of intrusive data structures then. That's precisely an advantage of non-intrusive data structure : object can be inserted in an arbitrary number of containers
> the same object can be part of multiple containers at once

I'm not sure I understand this one. Since the object contains the reference to where it belongs inside a container (e.g. object.node.next) how can it be re-used in multiple containers. Conversely, in a non-intrusive data structure, multiple containers can hold a ref to the same object through an intermediate node object

This is absolutely untrue. My feed literally only displays suggested content from page I'm not following (with a small "join" CTA above the page name). Most of these are garbage content I'm not interested into and not shared by my friends

Agreed. Ghostty has become my goto Zig reference.
Re:AAA Gaming on Asahi Linux on Thursday October 10, 2024 @03:55PM (#41802839)
This is part of the web DNA. Pages linking pages and being aware about it. Origin can still disable it.
Not really, since your chance of being a victim is divided by the number of people in the area.
And yet, with a new major election just around the corner, major conservative newspaper is already blaming left-wing activists without any evidence

Being free to use doesn't mean it ships with the original recipe.

Re:Truth Social reports $73M net loss since launch on Tuesday November 14, 2023 @04:53AM (#38261215)
A much smaller loss, how much loss per active user though?
Re:TypeScript 5.2's New Keyword: 'using' on Monday June 19, 2023 @12:09PM (#36392700)
Agreed with OP, the title is misleading. Typescript technically doesn't introduce any new runtime feature. This is basically a polyfill for an upcoming Javascript feature.
Re:Apple's Vision Pro headset deserves to be ridiculed on Monday June 05, 2023 @06:48PM (#36205263)
Are you implying that voicing concerns about the potential societal implications of technology is no longer valid or justifiable?
Re:Don Knuth Plays with ChatGPT on Sunday May 21, 2023 @11:14AM (#36021798)
Doesn't mean it's simple
Re:Don Knuth Plays with ChatGPT on Saturday May 20, 2023 @11:35AM (#36012786)
Because language models don't work as you might expect. It might be a simple task for deterministic algorithm, not so much for language based inference model. There are no hard coded rules for specific requests
Re:Updating our inactive account policies on Tuesday May 16, 2023 @03:29PM (#35966579)
It's not clear whether account handles will be recycled, although I suspect they won't be, for the same security considerations. So this seems more akin to "permanently disabled" rather than "deleted"
Tried it a couple of days ago, and I could really notice the speed & battery improvement. Impressive for what seems to be a one man project (of 18yo according to his twitter bio ?!).

Reading the architecture page (https://docs.orbstack.dev/architecture), OrbStack seems more than just a simple wrapper around Docker tools, but some clever custom kernel tricks and network stack.

Re:Ahrefs Saved US$400M in 3 Years by Not Going to the Cloud on Saturday March 11, 2023 @01:11PM (#35110927)
You don't have to "use" ahrefs for them to crawl your website
I was referring to the server daemon, not the client libraries.

But ofc, it's a process not an embeddable library, so you can't just link it against your app like you would with SQLite or rocksdb.

Although it looks like it's build around their core library "milli" though (https://github.com/meilisearch/milli/), so probably something doable in the future?

I've been using Meilisearch in production for quite some time now, and TBH it has been one of the easiest service to maintain (I mean, it's just a single statically linked binary) and with close to zero configuration.
