Re:Old 'Popcorn Time' App Left Macs at Risk on Thursday October 29, 2026 @03:01PM (#50294179)
Wasn't that app basically streaming illegal pirated movies to begin with? I think we always knew it was sussy.

I think by weird you mean "paid off by and in the pockets of AI billionaires"

Re:A/I shuts down – Stay human on Sunday September 06, 2026 @12:03PM (#49587844)
"created: 62 days ago" -- beyond that, what else makes you think it's a bot?
Re:Nvidia to Acquire Hugging Face on Thursday September 03, 2026 @01:22PM (#49553495)
Is it feasible for someone else to just start something almost identical by hosting a bunch of local models?
"a wonderful idea" -- some hyperbole there.
Re:Playa Phone on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @01:27PM (#49539505)
For those in need of a refresher, the dialogue is "“I'm going to hang up this phone, and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you."
Re:App Store Rejection of the Week: Dark Hours on Friday August 07, 2026 @04:33PM (#49215877)
Many years ago, like in 2017, my wife and I designed a dating app that was based on astrological matching. We knew it was tongue in cheek and advertised at as such. At that time we got a clear rejection from the App Store that they were no longer going to allow astrology apps. Fair enough, we pivoted the dating app to something else and it has been in the store doing fine for years now. But what we noticed was sometime around 2020, all of a sudden apple allowed a huge influx of new astrology apps into the store. It made no sense to us and seemed like bullshit, but what can you do?

I have been a HUGE uptick in pro-israel content, a lot of really weird cringe-ey OF type content too. Just strange.

Re:I'm Tired of Talking to AI on Wednesday May 27, 2026 @12:41PM (#48296825)
So what is stopping you from going to talk to your neighbor right now?
Re:I'm Tired of Talking to AI on Wednesday May 27, 2026 @12:40PM (#48296804)
Maybe this is a signal the author themselves needs to get better at adopting AI...
Re:Qwen3.7-Max: The Agent Frontier on Wednesday May 20, 2026 @07:35PM (#48215838)
I just started running coding agents locally. So you recommend Pi over opencode? (And obviously aider is out?)
Re:Qwen3.7-Max: The Agent Frontier on Wednesday May 20, 2026 @01:42PM (#48211300)
Do you have an opinion on OpenCode vs Aider?
Re:I don't think AI will make your processes go faster on Monday May 18, 2026 @04:59AM (#48177037)
> No, the code is actually almost always correct.

I wouldn't go that far. It is actually almost always incorrect in that its incomplete. It also needs more iterating and bug fixing.

Re:I don't think AI will make your processes go faster on Monday May 18, 2026 @04:56AM (#48177017)
While this is all true and we keep beating this dead horse, the other reality is that while it may not take less time, it certainly takes less people now. And that can't be ignored.
I’m ready to make a game with this, or something similar. Open to suggestions on tooling and asset pipelines that utilize AI, if anyone has any suggestions or guides.
