Congrats to the everyone who had the conviction to hold Bitcoin all these years.
I invested quite a bit of time working in Flutter years ago. The team overpromised and underdelivered. Felt like it was all marketing fluff and I'd been duped.
I knew this day would eventually come
Very unlikely. Hal Finney is the more likely candidate.
Adam is/was not a good programmer like Satoshi was.
Satoshi was in favor of alt coins in Adam is notoriously against them.
"Adam put enough effort into proclaiming that Bitcoin was based on the concept of HashCash that, if he was Satoshi, Satoshi would have given HashCash more credit." - Another HN User.
Satoshi had a positive attitude and Adam is notoriously unpleasant.
Hal is a great programmer, worked for Phil Zimmerman on PGP.
Hal is the first person Satoshi contacted, first person to mine outside Satoshi (op sec).
Hal was aware of all the prior works that failed, b-money, bit gold, hashcash, etc.
Linguistic analysis of the Bitcoin whitepaper and Satoshi's forum posts most closely match Hal's writings.
Hal lived in the same town for 10 years as did Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto.
Hal died of ALS shortly after Satoshi disappeared (he knew it was coming and that he couldn't continue).
Selling this may ruin the story and crash the price. It would probably go against his values and mission. He could easily have other early wallets and have $B's. Most likely explanation though is that it was Hal Finney who passed shortly after Satoshi disappeared.
Chinese doesn't either (technically).
好 = OK,
是 = Is,
Both are used to mean yes
不要 = Don't want,
不用 = Don't need,
Both are used to mean no
There are many scams in crypto, and there are many people doing it for speculation, but the space/tech/utility/use cases is not a scam.
It's important to delineate between something that's a scam and speculative, those are not the two same things. A scam is a rug, there's an intent involved, you have scams everywhere not just in crypto.
The legit companies working on DeFi and NFTs are not scams, while some of them may be a bit speculative, there are also companies providing real value to end users.

Check out Stacks (
https://stacks.co), enables smart contracts on top of Bitcoin through Proof-of-Transfer consensus. Founded by YC alums and launched this January after many years of R&D.
Disclaimer: I'm involved.
Thank you for bringing this up.
You're smart, I like your comments.
Is this more performant than JS or SVG?
No. I meant for a normal SPA or CRUD app without video.
That’s way too expensive. My $80/month server bill can support millions of users per month but would only get me <300 MAUs on this service?
Edit: my guess is I misunderstood who they are targeting with this. Thought they were targeting developers who want to integrate Jitsi with an existing product.

Can you provide more information?
Wow I’m so sad to hear this. I am such a huge fan of James Randi and his debunking and have most of his books in my personal library at home.
Losing a legend and an amazing champion of science.
Why does this fact make a difference? His point still stands pretty strongly in light of this keep in mind comment.
YC defines it as someone with at least 10% equity.
Congrats to Eric on this.
The thing missing from this article is: What does this actually mean? When will companies start listing? Who will start listing? How do companies list? What are you offering? etc.
Look for tenderlove’s comments on TruffleRuby. The performance is at the expense of memory.
I’m sure there is disagreement among some doctors over this, but ADHD in the current medical literature is not defined by brain function, it is defined by sustained dysfunction in life situations.
A lot of people in the comments appear to have a misunderstanding of ADHD and sleep disorders. It is possible to have both conditions simultaneously, and likely very common. ADHD is a condition defined by a sustained period of symptoms, not underlying causes or biological tests. It is 100% consistent for someone to have ADHD in one environment and not in another. This is how it is viewed in psychiatry. If you spend many years as an accountant focusing on detailed work in your job, but you can’t focus to complete your work, you may be diagnosed with ADHD and treated with medicine. If you then change careers to be an artist in a creative field, but face no dysfunction or difficulty in completing your work, you would no longer be diagnosed. The same applies to having a sleep disorder and then getting it treated. Though it is not clear if sleep disorders in childhood cause irreversible changes to the brain.
Poor sleep is not just caused by poor sleep habits. Sleep apnea, as an example, is a disability that causes poor sleep and often goes undiagnosed. ADHD is not a disability per se, it is classified by the symptoms and is not classified by any underlying cause.
I’m also referring to seed and A rounds.
Aaron is very smart, but what this article is missing is that valuation often follows the amount of capital you raise. What I mean is your valuation is determined by the demand for your shares. VCs have a specific ownership % they need for their model to work. Whether that is 10% or 20%, large rounds at very high valuations happen because of bidding wars. More VCs are bidding over that 10% or 20% they are looking for and that drives the price up. Many successful entrepreneurs say its not the amount you raise that is dilutive, it’s the number of times you raise.
In addition, good seed VCs are happy to give you a higher valuation when you have investor demand, so you can take more capital. This was my personal experience. Before our round closed, we had $X committed at $Y valuation, giving up 20%. When more capital came calling, our lead was happy to raise the valuation so we could take more money and increase our odds of success.
Would be great for Aaron to address this point.
Most Chinese people don’t use Google. Not sure if you are aware but it is blocked in China.
Love the syntax 10 out of 10. Visual design wise it’s not bad, but could be better. If I have some time I would love to contribute some add-one people could use for a different theme of designs.
