The implant could fabricate a reason to connect to a host computer. Like "Cannot display seed words, connect to a computer to debug"
I agree, should have mentioned that it must help productivity too. I was just surprised to see it on even the smallest building sites, like a 2 story house, where I thought the bother wouldn't be worth it.
Depending on the task, a human doing it may be highly discouraged by H&S regulations, or the insurer.
Even on individual small building sites in France I'm now seeing mini-diggers instead of human shoveling, everywhere, or tile elevators (for a 3 man roofing team!) instead of the stereotypical exploited immigrant manual labourer. These are justified by insurers quoting such a high price for covering the expected accident and long term health costs of human shoveling or tile carrying to roofs that buying the machines is cheaper.
Big companies were sometimes getting sanction waivers. In energy, Exxon for example has been getting waivers to keep investing in Russian oil and gas since 2014. They got out in 2022 though, and the waivers stopped (I've no idea which ended first, the waivers or Exxon's interest in those projects).
Laya is the model this uses. Like Jev, it's blind - it can't take an image as an input. So how can it play Doom, or Atari games, or do other visual tasks, as people have shown it to do? They write a bit of app-specific adapter code that transforms the game state into a structured piece of data (here, the "semantic snapshot"). And that is what these models take as input
It has always surprised me that the 'free world', NATO countries, developed countries (including Japan, Taiwan, Australia), however one wants to call them, do not have at least free trade, if not free movement of people and capital, between them.
A travesty, IMO. And a great loss making us all poorer. Not a patchwork of point-to-point free trade agreements, but several hub agreements that countries join, and, in time, the hubs agree to free trade between them too.
No, this could increase diesel and gasoline prices as much as 50% by Christmas
IANAL but if that should be compliant IMO.
That's because OpenAI has several "do not train on my data" controls, and you may be using only one.
First one: "Settings > Data Controls > Improve the model for everyone > Switch off the toggle"
The other one is "OpenAI Privacy Portal" > "Do not train on my content" https://privacy.openai.com/policies?action=AUTOMATED_DECISIO...
Why are there several? You probably need an ML PhD to get it /s
Does using all of them achieve "do not train on my data"? I wish we could find out.
Do you think if you'd be in the race to train your own pocket God (as the CEOs of the frontier labs think they are) you'd let yourself be slowed down by such things as privacy duties?
> That's a niche which exists
It's not a small niche. Anything touching European resident personal data must only be done by Euro AI Act compliant AIs. So, hosted in Europe at least (unclear to me rn, would love to learn the exact criteria).
Not at all. Reducing a cost means the payer can spend the money on something else
I love retro UIs, and this one even more, because of course it reminds of Turbo Pascal, which was so cool.
Great job!
It seems the OP agrees with you, and he's proposing a method for how to do so using agents.
Definitely, the cow isn't free.
Especially given the hardware has no moat and there are a zillion IR transceivers on Aliexpress. It's not a good market.
> ad-block whack-a-mole diagnostician
that is being done as open source community efforts now: NewPipe for mobile, SmartTube for smart TVs etc.
All you have to do is update them once in a while
On the contrary, this gives me hope it's possible to create value for people even when you compete with hundreds of free Youtube playlists. This is good!
I bet the two sources won't agree on what values go into the denominator and / or numerator of their effective tax rate calculations. It can be as simple as the 3.5% being a calculated rate on revenue rather than profit

A user provided location cannot be trusted for geofencing purposes. A GNSS (GPS or other) is needed sooner or later. This is a legal requirement for sanction and regulation enforcement (US, if not others).
> I have escalated this through my many friends in WWDR and SRE at Apple, with no success.
Ouch. If he can't get it fixed, it's scary
While humans have historically mildly reduced their working time to today's 40h workweek, their consumption has gone up enormously, and whole new categories of consumption were opened. So my prediction is while you'll never live in a 900,000sqft apartment (unless we get O'Neill cylinders from our budding space industry) you'll probably consume a lot more, while still working a full week
> Le Parisien (a big French billionaire-owned newspaper)
They're all billionaire owned. As an example, left wing newspaper Liberation has Kretinsky among the owners
I'm impressed you could train a dog to cleanup toys! It's hard enough with humans.
> Heat pumps work as aircos
In France, tax credits were denied for air-to-air heat pumps that could also cool (which they all can).
CF will cooperate with UK authorities because they're not in 4chan's business.
> Cheetah robot can run 10.3 km with a 3 kg (465 Whrs) LiPo Battery
> the 33kg robot runs at 22 km/h (6
m/s). The total power consumption from the battery pack was 973 watts and resulted in a total cost of transport of 0.5, which rivals running animals’ at the same scale. The 76% of total energy consumption is attributed to heat loss from the motor, and the 24% is used in mechanical work
Cheetah was the robot built by Ben Katz, which then went on to electrify Boston Dynamics' dog.
Given we've had no major energy density or motor efficiency breakthroughs since 2015, I bet the above still holds. That's a 30 min run at full throttle BTW. So to escape the current killer bots, try to run above a 2h marathon pace for 30 minutes.

Google's gemini-cli offers the most generous current free tier, 2500 daily requests. I'd recommend checking it out, since mostly everything said about Claude Code applies to it too
