In the wake will be the rise of private websites. No social media, no public profiles. Your own private circles.

There is A LOT of garbage IT staff out there. A lot. Especially when it's outsourced MSP. I've walked into environments, where the backup software just repeatedly show failed jobs for MONTHS. No one checking on anything, email alerts if they are even configured, dumping into a mailbox no one checks. It's pathetic.

Yeh the 4k Roku Ultra I got for $50 on sale will go till end of life. $300 for a movie streamer is absurd.
Re:Ask HN: What do you run on a $5 VPS that's worth keeping online 24/7?

A $4 a month personal private movie logging project for my friends and family. Was a pain to keep up with everyone's emails and text messages about what they were watching, or what they recommend. Simple, and serves its purpose wonderfully. https://mymovielog.com

Alright doing it here, all the functionality we need and no reoccurring yearly costs of tens of thousands of dollars. Took me a couple weeks to wire it all up with codex.

I've had a similar experience for a local job. I honestly thought it was my previous employer unknowingly reaching out to me initially through a recruiting agency. The job description was verbatim my resume. Got the interview, and ghosted.

My guess would be using "AI" to increase/enhance sales with your existing processes. Pay for this product, get 20% increased sales, ad revenue, yada yada.

I'm not talking about brand badges, I'm talking about the tacky dealership badges they put on aftermarket.

This is one of the first questions I ask when buying a car. Do you put that stupid badge on everything you sell? I make it clear no sale if they do. I bought the car, you made your money, I'm not advertising for you, end of transaction.
