What's wrong with every social and content network

What's wrong with every social and content network: they're built by people who have never had to hustleInstagram announced at its F8 dev conference that it’ll start hiding users’ public like counts on videos and photos.“Focus on the photos and videos you share, not how many likes they get.” This is what you write when you have never known the need to hustle. How should we transfer assets of a European startup to a new Delaware-C Corp?

We needed to operate under the umbrella of a corporation, just to be able to accept web payments to a bank in the Czech Republic and offer benefits (health, unemployment) to employees. We want to move the ownership to a Del-C corp. We plan to use Stripe Atlas but oddly, Stripe wont answer what should be a pretty common question - since the program is all about foreign startups moving to the...

That discussion pertains to our last iteration. What we do now probably deserves a second look.
Re:Show HN: RiteTag – Hashtag grading system on Wednesday August 06, 2014 @09:16PM (#8145815)
RiteTag offers the world's first real-time hashtag grading system which aids users in modifying their hashtags to nail the ones most likely to get their tweets discovered by topic-opted-in audiences.

Browser extensions provide this goodness within Twitter for free users and for paying users, also in Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Buffer, SocialOomph, and SproutSocial.

Re:Maximize your tweet's chance of discovery via hashtags on Wednesday March 26, 2014 @04:31AM (#7472207)
Yes, and many people set up a column in Hotsuite/Tweetdeck/etc. to track a few hashtags passively. When someone's using #ritetag or #startuplife, #hashtagmarketing, I see it this way.
Re:Maximize your tweet's chance of discovery via hashtags on Wednesday March 26, 2014 @02:27AM (#7471925)
There is personal experience - from our people and the many that talk about hashtag successes. As examples, "operation wallstreet" rallied tremendous community support with #ows and then related hashtags like #owsboston etc. When there was media blackout about a rigged election in Iran and phonelines were even blocked, a hashtag spread the truth. What's more, it was my personal experience, during the big earthquake and tsunami (tidal wave) in Japan, and seeing how I could find very relevant tweets from hashtag streams rather than the cover-up on Fukushima on TV that led me to understand that hashtags have power - but that no one knew which was any better than another.
Re:Maximize your tweet's chance of discovery via hashtags on Tuesday March 25, 2014 @11:59PM (#7471496)
Actually, hashtags are not just for marketing, nor is RiteTag. People get plenty done, such as bringing people to #hackforgood or hackathon events, search for lost children, and more. But without a hashtag grading system, they really have no idea which hashtags are best for getting discovered.
Saving tagsets for quick access from the RiteTag browser extensions is so easy and fast, I demonstrate in an animated gif in this post: https://plus.google.com/100575455878135404735/posts/5JcB6jsd...

(Just doing this for those who don't login/register, but want to see the other tabs and one of the things to use them for)

Note that this interactive Hashtag Scan is free and open to all, but to see the data beyond the "Summary" tab, and to save tagsets so they'll be at hand in Tweet Composer, just register or login (free). You can even create your own Scans in "Alerts" at the top - and set which ones to turn on/off - so they'll let you know when new hashtags are associated with your query. Remember: queries are topic words, hashtags, events, products, brands, schools, anything.

Be sure you save that great comment, Mr. CTO. That's why we're in Hacker News; the people who help us see where we're in need of improvement. (Thanks, @binxbolling!)

In regards to plan cheaper than our "Lite" plan, kindly keep in mind that we have hard costs. Scaling up to meet the needs of API customers, and also, recaculations on the nearly 2 million Hashtag Scans that our users reply on... recalculations on millions of hashtags as for their likelihood of leading to discovery, this take a lot of access. Further, we provide actual analytics that help RiteTaggers learn from their efforts. I don't believe you'll find anything nearly as cheap as our Pro plan - let alone the Lite plan - that does anything close to this. When you're in there and do some smart-tagged tweets from RiteTag, you'll see this in Stats and also My Top-performing tags (Tweet Composer). But do let me know @osakasaul if you still believe we're costly.

What if you set out to code the RiteTag backend?

What if you could be a co-founder of RiteTag?It’s 18 months in the making, and about to be re-made. We need 3 back-end engineers for our bootstrapped startup. If this is not for you, perhaps you might forward this post and/or connect me with the backend php person who you know – who should be in a startup with a hell of a future?Spoiler: This doesn’t pay up front cash. (And yet, we’ll take on...

Assessment of the best hashtag tools for Twitter marketing

http://osakabentures.com/2013/04/six-hashtag-tools-for-twitter-marketing/

If you already know your hashtags, great. Use them. If you have an event or brand tag that is relevant to what you’re sharing, use it. To reach beyond your followers, you’ll want to take your topic and search hashtags that have gone out with the topic word(s). Several social media tools provide for this.

Re:Instahood — geo Instagram on Sunday March 17, 2013 @01:52AM (#5388318)
http://RiteTag.com lets you search words to get Twitter, G+, and yes, Instagram tags that reach topic-following people, those interested in your blog posts, videos, artwork, photographs, and even offers in eBay and Amazon, shows you the when, who, how many times, and what in the content that has been tagged with a tag related to your query, and lets you do a few more things as well. RiteTag is not an SEO tool, its a SSO tool: for optimizing your content in social media to reach more, with relevancy. Some tools do tag illustration: stats. RiteTag is a tool for discovering reaching tags, per network (they vary per network) and learn about tags as well. Its not about optimizingtweets and other content to be seen by those not following you, but following and searching for your tagged topics. Many more networks with topic hashtagging are in the plans for integration, as our first users tell us how they need to tag their photos, images, and goods better to get seen more, and thus sell more. Rather than rush to add every social network with an open API, we focus on relevancy and honing the results in the RiteTag Reports.
Re:Facebook Working on Incorporating the Hashtag on Sunday March 17, 2013 @01:49AM (#5388316)
The problem with the graph search: it is still limited to your connections and their's; you can't reach beyond your following with hashtags, as we can with Twitter, G+ - and over 50 social networks and sites with topic hashtags that are searchable.

How does this fly as an acceptable question to ask - but I cannot get feedback on my project, despite being a member for over 700 days...? I get the "your account is too new to submit" message.

Thanks in advance for advice.
