Re:Catch a Bird – I made it for my own sanity on Thursday October 15, 2026 @12:10AM (#50099039)
Hi Eduard, I'm Levente from HU too. I love the whole concept, I had a similar idea to do it, when I found this site: https://pudding.cool/2026/02/happy-map/ just don't have the time to work on. It's a similar, just not dynamic as yours. Love the design and everything just somehow you should filter the spam with LLM or I don't know, but right now there are lot of birds with "asd" like sentences.
Why do u think that?
I like that everybody try to sell products with cats.
I have 1 DGX Spark and running models with vLLM to, out of curiosity why not using Llama.cpp / TensorRT-LLM or any other alternatives?

Ask HN: How do you manage your digital legacy for after you die?

Ofc after you die, doesnt matter in the first place, but to be honest, I've been thinking about what my wife would have to deal with digitally when I'm gone. All accounts on the internet, my old pictures in Google Drive, documentation and things like that.I have password manager, so I pass this to my wife it can be easy to reach the profiles, but what else can I do to help / easier the whole...

lol, finnally, comments are coming to one of my posts
Love the simplicity. It would be great some type of zone discraction function where users can't do anything else just taking notes in a fullscreen app.
Re:Show HN: Cactoide – Federated RSVP Platform on Wednesday November 12, 2025 @12:57AM (#45896807)
You need an API for creating events?
Re:Show HN: Cactoide – Federated RSVP Platform on Wednesday November 12, 2025 @12:56AM (#45896797)
In the detailed page of the event, there is the rsvp list.

Ohh nice! I'll look into it.
Re:Show HN: Cactoide – Federated RSVP Platform on Tuesday November 11, 2025 @03:48PM (#45892613)
I didn’t think of that.
Re:Show HN: Cactoide – Federated RSVP Platform on Tuesday November 11, 2025 @03:46PM (#45892588)
Noted.
Re:Show HN: Cactoide – Federated RSVP Platform on Tuesday November 11, 2025 @03:45PM (#45892574)
Yea something like that would be necessary in the long run, or just use the event creation cookie user to moderate the rsvps. (or you can create private events)
Re:Show HN: Cactoide – Federated RSVP Platform on Tuesday November 11, 2025 @03:44PM (#45892565)
Ofc, don’t have to moderate every randomly submitted event, but I am planning to add a moderation page to delete or filter offensive events.

Thanks for the feedback.
Re:Show HN: Cactoide – Federated RSVP Platform on Tuesday November 11, 2025 @01:01PM (#45890626)
It's similar, but not that good as Mobilizon, Im focusing on simplicity with an improved UI and experience.

I'm assuming easier to spin up a new instance on your own, but this is my personal opinion.

Re:Show HN: Cactoide – Federated RSVP Platform on Tuesday November 11, 2025 @12:32PM (#45890263)
Right now nope, but I'm planning to add new features.
Re:Ask HN: What type of CRM re u using? on Wednesday September 24, 2025 @03:50PM (#45365168)
What about other alternatives like Attio? Twenty? Folk? These are the new kids in the block, no?

Ask HN: What type of CRM re u using?

I’m getting a bit fed up that there are a bunch of CRM systems, but I can’t tell which one to choose. Each of them tries to sell itself with something, there are new-generation ones and old veterans that have grown a bit too big. I can’t believe there isn’t a proper comparison where I can pick the features that matter to me and make a decision based on that. Not to mention that ever since, I’ve...

Something similar, yes. Just cactoide is open-source and self hostable.
Coool! If you have any trouble with the spinup just contact me.
Good to hear it, its gonna be open source?
Ofc, I want to use a vanilla rsvp platform, you mentioned tools which are more than that. That's not a problem just I don't need those stuffs... and I want to selfhost my services.
Thanks, happy to hear feedbacks if you have about the ux or the service.
lol, yessss
