I had an interview in Microsoft's local office a couple of months ago and as long as I can tell, they are a company that believes it can increase sales of Office physical boxes, you know the ones with DVDs in them. Of course not all of the company is not like that but they just can't seem to get over the fragmented mentality in the company.

This. I do think that Apple is an innovative company which creates great products. But this does not in anyways justifies its actions in courtrooms all over the world trying to exploit a system that is clearly outdated.

Oh so you just assume that every laptop user uses the trackpad? Looking at the office I see 4 Windows users with mouses and a macbook user with a mouse. So, yeah the mouse.
