Setting this is orgwise seems to be an "enterprise" feature.

It's really not acceptable that Cursor is less than crystal clear on details such as this...

Yeah, their blog post is not very transparent at what happened here. Does not instill trust.

If cryptocurrency exchanges are regularly robbed, surely that is negative for the cryptocurrency as a whole?

I don't know Konsole, but kitty have tons of features other "plain" terminals lack. It's not just about speed (which I never got the obsession about either)

Firefox's reader mode allow you to set the line length. If the reader-mode is able to understand the page it should be able to increase the length as well?

> "Universal acceptance"

Looking into it bit more I concede there's no real research consensus for optimal range in the 50-100 character range. I could not find research for the 180 char length this site render on my laptop screen at reasonable font size.

(Research indicate that bigger line spacing is beneficial for long lines though.)

Re:We should be more ambitious with the software we build on Sunday October 25, 2026 @07:15AM (#50230412)
I also appreciate a minimalistic design, but it's universally agreed that limiting text to certain length improve readability. Yes, I can turn on firefox reader mode to fix it - and it will work well since the site itself is very simple. I can only assume that is the site-owner stance? But that's an extra click and I'm quite sure it would work well if the page itself did the minimal of centering and limiting the line length. (for those that prefer to read with read-mode like systems)

Yeah, I really despise this trend. Using github as just an issue tracker should also be banned if it was up to me.
I really want to know if someone can point to where it says this is ok in an unambiguous way. Reading the Antropic docs ir is not clear to me that they differentiate personal mitm proxies from proxies used to share the sub. And if they attempt to detect the latter and ban people, how can they properly distinguish the two even?

My slight suspicion is that the that somehow train on derived data from the sessions. In a way that they are technically in the clear.

How is it clear? I don't fully trust them either, but what indications are there?

Re:Where is all the new, good software? on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @05:02AM (#50084551)
I've also "soft forked" a small handful of the programs I use the most, having code agents maintain my patches on top. Very liberating.
Re:Where is all the new, good software? on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @05:00AM (#50084531)
Same here. I do think people should release some of this personal software eventually though. But having some restrain and waiting until it has properly proved useful and matured a bit does everyone a favor IMO
Jetbrains lost our entire (small) team a few years back when they completely neglected (no, to minimal progress for years) their typehint support in PyCharm. I think they now finally have caught up somewhat judging from the updated on all the issues in youtrack I'm still subscribed to.

Nvidia OpenShell is a (software) sandbox unless I'm mistaken.

Likely because it's so much more convenient to allow (at least some) internet access.
If the Revolut know the agency was hacked it surely would be in their interest to say so (unless the agency hold them at "gunpoint")

Cool, how does it differ from other similar tools? If you tried some out? I'm looking to start using something like this, but it's a jungle of options out there.

Not sure what you are saying exactly, but

You know you give away the right to file class action law suits against Anthropic when you accept their Terms Of Use, right? (at least the Americans ones)

Re:Hang on to Your Firefox on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @02:39AM (#49532548)
I know Chrome's address bar also does searches, but somehow I find it much worse at actually finding what I want. It's perhaps unfair since I use Firefox much more, but I visit some pages regularly in Chrome and I'm 90% sure suddenly it doesn't find these - or they are just ranked way off.

Firefox also find open tabs (so you can jump to the open tab instead of opening a new tab) and allow you to explicitly search for bookmarks, open-tabs etc. The open tab thing is also nicely integrated with Firefox sync (not sure if Chrome has something similar)
