Re:Starship's Sixth Flight Test on Wednesday November 06, 2024 @03:42PM (#42069042)
I tried to search faq how to block people but couldn't find any info. How do I do that?

If it's not possible, I'm pretty sure this site is breaking the EU social media laws.

It's not an exact copy of all the data. For example random downloaded files don't get backed up and restored unless you migrate from an old device[0]. It would be nice to be able to do a full device local backup and restore.

A rare case of actually useful AI features. Thumbs up!

How do I block low iq trolls like jrflowrs on this platform? I tried to search the FAQ but couldn't find anything.
Re:Why are Teslas' batteries dying in the cold? on Saturday January 20, 2024 @06:26AM (#39066524)
We had below -40 in the Norther Finland recently and Teslas and Superchargers have worked without any issues. ICE vehicles have had a lot problems with these temperatures though if they weren't connected to block heaters.
Re:What Happened to EVs? on Thursday January 04, 2024 @09:16AM (#38867234)
Yep. These luddites and trolls haven't been paying attention.

Re:What Happened to EVs? on Thursday January 04, 2024 @09:12AM (#38867174)
Every time these same low tier troll comments. Can someone point me how to block these trolls? I couldn't see anything in the FAQ about blocking/muting.
Re:Uniting the Linux random-number devices on Wednesday December 20, 2023 @02:40PM (#38712691)
If I remember correctly, the TLDR is that RDRAND output is mixed with other "standard" entropy sources and basically making getrandom() non-blocking immediately.

How do I block/mute these trolls on this website? I tried searching the FAQ but didn't see anything.
That "cable laid down" is vacuum of the space in this situation. It's not going to disappear.

How do I mute/block trolls on this website? The FAQ didn't provide any info. These pro oil trolls, which show up on every EV thread, don't provide any value.

Even LFPs are getting better all the time. Energy density in Cybertruck at the pack level is something like 170 Wh/kg with the latest 4680 cells.
Re:Tesla Cybertruck Pricing and Specs on Thursday November 30, 2023 @07:42PM (#38481409)
I would guess that at least all the version 4 charges will support 800V in the near future. Maybe even the version 3 ones can be upgraded.
Re:Tesla Cybertruck Pricing and Specs on Thursday November 30, 2023 @07:35PM (#38481345)
Inflation adjusted that $35k would be over $43k nowadays so it's actually quite a lot cheaper than promised. And it comes with many features included like Autopilot, which I think was a $3k option back then.
Re:Starship will attempt a launch this weekend on Tuesday November 14, 2023 @03:33AM (#38260592)
We're finally living in the future!
TLDR:

H200-powered systems are expected to begin shipping in the second quarter of 2024.

"The introduction of H200 will lead to further performance leaps, including nearly doubling inference speed on Llama 2, a 70 billion-parameter LLM, compared to the H100. Additional performance leadership and improvements with H200 are expected with future software updates."

Re:Analyzing Tesla Network Traffic on Sunday November 05, 2023 @03:58PM (#38155583)
Because this website is full of bitter losers who will downvote if someone is calling out their lies. Doubly so if it's related to Tesla.
Re:Analyzing Tesla Network Traffic on Sunday November 05, 2023 @11:21AM (#38152492)
Yes, NACS is a very nice charger implementation. Just like Tesla's modified Type 2 was in Europe since it enabled DC charging with a Type 2 connector. Unfortunately they had to start using CCS 2, but it's not all bad since nowadays Tesla's charging infrastructure in Europe is really good and basically everyone benefits from it.

Re:Analyzing Tesla Network Traffic on Sunday November 05, 2023 @05:05AM (#38149760)
The bit about autonomous charging in the end is interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla were working with the company mentioned to "standardize" some kind of automatic charging, and trying to avoid another Chademo/CCS/NACS mess.
Re:X.ai Grok on Sunday November 05, 2023 @04:56AM (#38149707)
Sounds a lot like "electric cars will never work" and "private companies can't build orbital rockets".

MKBHD says it was a camera app from BlackMagic. Their software Resolve is used in professional movies, but for some reason it's also available for free with some minor limitations. I've used it when I needed quickly combine some simple video clips and it was really intuitive use. Though the color grading and other advanced tabs looked scary to a noob :)

Re:AV1 video codec gains broader hardware support on Tuesday October 31, 2023 @10:22AM (#38085291)
Does anyone know if Youtube supports AV1 in their pipeline for ultra low latency streaming?
