Where 1.0 focused on discovery, 2.0 helps you hit the ground running in your new place featuring information on, SIMs, Money, somewhere to live, getting around, and places to work.
All good feedback, thanks! I purposefully started out basic to test if this is something people wanted. The payment is low enough to allow for this. The goal was to launch then iterate. I've noted what you'd look for.

All future updates are included which you can track here: https://remotechoice.co/roadmap

Countries will also be added as I go, so watch this space.

Thanks again for your feedback!

That's good feedback, thanks. This is mostly for people already working remotely. First is getting basic country information in one place (fact, visas, etc.), then information on getting settled, such as how to rent or open a bank account.

If you like, you can check the roadmap to keep an eye on progress: https://remotechoice.co/roadmap

Absolutely! This is just the beginning. Just figuring out the right way to capture feedback, and we'll get started, iterating based on what people request.

Unubo makes it easy for you to track progress by bringing metrics from your favourite tools into one place.

It currently pulls data from:

- Stripe - Mailchimp - Twitter - Google Analytics

It then presents the information in a way for you to quickly glance the metrics that matter. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for sharing this! So, you're now stopping to work on your startup? You won't move it to another jurisdiction?

Thank you, added! Quite unique for a typically closed off country like Japan to offer this.

Based on the success of Silicon Valley, an increasing number of countries are trying to make it attractive for startups to be based within their shores.

They do this through startup visas, special programs and economic zones - here's a list of them.

The free tier will always remain, to get people used to our platform.

We will soon be releasing paid plans that enable higher performance (memory, storage) and new features.

Great. Any other questions or comments, just let me know. In app, this is how you can contact us: https://twitter.com/UnuboHQ/status/1162812311557607425?s=20
Netlify started out by allowing you to host static sites, so this is easy to do. Anything additional that you might find useful requires extra steps, and is not as simple as it could be.

One example is selecting a particular region to deploy. With us it's as simple as selecting the region you want to deploy to from a drop down menu.

Other stuff like our detailed uptime/status monitor and the ability to roll back to a previously deployed state are also worth mentioning.

Unubo uses one flow for each deployment type, so in case you wanted to deploy something else in the future, you have the option to do so - and are already accustomed to do it.

Nope, we won’t put your app to sleep.
Thank you!
Not dumb at all. It is actually hosted with us, on our infrastructure.
Re:Show HN: Deploy your web apps, APIs and databases for free on Thursday August 15, 2019 @11:12AM (#20705903)
Hi there,

We created Unubo to simplify cloud deployment. It provides the easiest way for you to deploy anything whether it's a Node.js app, a PHP based serverless function, a PostgresSQL database, or even a Ghost blog.

Any feedback is welcome!

Ask HN: How would you rebuild WordPress for the modern web?

WordPress still powers 30% of the web despite its many shortcomings. I don’t need to go into too much detail here, about its security issues, often sluggish performance, or convoluted interface.WordPress does have good qualities. It’s very enabling, allowing anyone to create a decent looking web page relatively quickly. A healthy plugin ecosystem expands things much further. My question is:“What...
