Yeah, we probably want some kind of traffic light system:
Green means go
Orange means finish what you're doing but don't start anything new
Red means stop everything
And probably a special rule to permit stable, critical spend through regardless, the same way we allow police and ambulance to run lights.
Everyone is focusing on the feasibility of putting compute in space, but I'm more concerned about the unwiseness of putting AIs in a place where they might be reasonably able to deny us access.
Should human-AI relations sour, I want the reassurance that humans with sticks and rocks could reasonably hope to disassemble a data center. Place said data center in orbit around the sun, and the incentive for a hostile intelligence to isolate itself by, e.g. initiating a Kessler cascade, must be considered.
I wonder if there's an argument to be made that these little earthquakes help release stored potential energy in the crust, preventing it from building into a more severe and dangerous event?

And someone else's machine
I think we'd call that a lab leak
Yes, I believe it should be possible for someone to do that.
I'm going to start saying "for one reason:" instead of because, for one reason: I want to see if anyone flags it as a Claudism.

Missed moment of awesome. Intend your puns, you cowards!

I'm excited for this! I was a little concerned that there would be a much longer delay, due to the recent news about the Flipper Zero from the team. Now I'm relieved that it's available.
Hopefully it's already in stock and shipping out as orders come in.
I think we're still in the right ballpark bit we're headed for the exits.
.1 lb sugar is 1.6 oz (net), and we'll need to wrap it in paper. I estimate about .5 of an ounce? So we're spending approximately 10% of the weight in packaging. Our nominal 33000 pounds of sugar just got 10% heavier.
At least we haven't resorted to those little sugar packets, which would be colossally worse!
Life is like a box of noodles
I hope that you're going to call it PostGrust.
I am the 1 percent currently in darkness
