ARTEMIS stands for the Advanced Relational Trading Enforcement Metrics Investigation System.

IB refers to Interactive Brokers, a large brokerage firm. It's chairman is billionaire Thomas Peterffy.
Re:Ask HN: Who do you call for help with your home? on Wednesday January 20, 2021 @12:32PM (#25849221)
Some possible ideas:

* If possible, it's a good idea to ask the previous homeowners who they have used or recommended for tree/plumbing/etc work.

* You could ask your neighbors who they have used in the past, or if they have any specific suggestions.

* You could ask people on a neighborhood social network (such as Nextdoor or Facebook, if you are on those platforms).

* If none of those work out, Googling or Yelping like you said also works. There are also apps for this, such as Angie's List, TaskRabbit, Thumbtack, Porch, etc.

This happened on October 15. The issue was resolved and the water was turned back on the next day: https://apnews.com/article/berlin-europe-762cda8830dd1bfedad...
You make a good point, but there is no "official Bitcoin forum." That's the equivalent of calling HN the "official hacker forum."
Re:Steve Wozniak is starting another company, Efforce on Friday December 04, 2020 @09:06PM (#25310951)
"Steve Wozniak is starting a second company, 45 years after he co-founded Apple in Steve Jobs’ parents garage in 1976."

This isn't even close to true, as it ignores CL 9, Wheels of Zeus, and Woz U (all founded post-Apple).

Cool site. Two suggestions:

1. Add a privacy policy.

2. Add screenshots (or possible a short video) of what the end result looks like. This would make users more likely to actually follow through with importing their transactions and helps in telling users what your site actually does.

Your privacy policy is completely blank except for the phrase "WIP", which isn't very reassuring. [0]

On the other hand, I like how with your Terms of Service, you have the actual terms in one column and then summarize/simplify them in a second column. [1]

What assurances does someone have that this service will still exist years later?

Aside from that, the design of the website looks great.

Re:Cloudflare Radar on Wednesday September 30, 2020 @12:11PM (#24640304)
According to Cloudflare's website:

> Internet requests for ~15% of the Fortune 1,000 run through Cloudflare's network

A 2018 Wired article said "roughly 5 to 10 percent of web traffic." It is likely higher now, perhaps closer to 15%.

They are not. The site belongs to Jamie Zawinski, who is commonly referred to as jwz. Zawinski is a well-known programmer (known for free software contributions) and current owner of the DNA Lounge.
Prince Andrew once used his 'inability to sweat' to refute Epstein allegations. (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/prince-andrew-jef...)
Alphabet's X (formerly Google X) may have helped popularize the term, as they have commonly been referred to as the "moonshot factory".

After reading the article, I was wondering if Sal Soghoian had any relation to the privacy researcher/activist Christopher Soghoian (https://www.dubfire.net/), and it turns out that Sal is Christopher's uncle. Not really related to the article, but interesting nonetheless.
