Why is a randomized controlled study needed for these scenarios in a clinical trial. If the patient is known to have a fatal disease in the study, why not give them the proposed treatment? The alternative is much worse.

I find it interesting that nobody from the finance community is directly speaking about their experience in this thread.

What's the equivalent of hacker news for financial folk?

Re:The Biochemical Beauty of Retatrutide: How GLP-1s Work on Thursday May 14, 2026 @06:08PM (#48141927)
How is everyone purchasing Retatrutide at this moment? It's still in phase 3 trials, and I keep hearing of people being on it. Not really seeing safe options with proper lab testing.

Other pharmaceuticals at the phase 3 stage (such as Buntanetap for Parkinson's disease) are super difficult to get, even with the right to try exemption in the US.

Could this treatment also help with other neurodegenerative diseases?

How do they pickup their kids towards the end of the workday?

Commute times are a real factor in deciding where to live, and which schools to pick. In the Bay Area, the only real solution is living closer to work, which requires over bidding & selecting private schools if they picked the wrong area.

I'm not really sure what to make of this. The article is conflating tradeoffs people make. People typically overbid on housing for access to good public schools. Folks sending their kids to private school live in a cheaper home with a better commute. They're optimizing for commute time, perceived safety, education, and access to child care.

The real way for everyone to escape this perceived hedonic treadmill is to build more housing, invest in public transit infrastructure, and have affordable childcare.

This introduces an additional X-ray scan for TSA precheck members compared to the current metal detector.

Could this be used in California as an additional fire extinguishing method?
I'm able to turn my water heater off twice a week without a noticable difference in the water temperature. I wish there was an easier way other than flipping the circuit breaker.
