A fantastic project. I've used velxio.dev it also runs in a browser with ESP32 and other microcontroller emulation, circuit simulation, and AI-assisted development

The goal of the Raspberry Pi was to have a SoC that could run Linux on a very cheap board, but that's no longer the case. There are cheaper options on the market today... and if you really need to use Linux... an old smartphone can be a testing solution. I also recently used a Xiaomi router (it has little internal memory) to run Linux (OpenWrt) and do some testing

You could just use an old second-hand phone for under $60. You’d get a built-in battery, much more RAM, and a screen included. For the output, just use a $3 ESP32 connected over Wi-Fi or USB. Seems like a much better deal for a lot of projects.

This looks interesting. How are you handling timing between the firmware execution and the SPICE solver? Is it synced to wall clock or do you step both together?

Pretty cool project! if you're checking it out, try one of the built-in examples and hit "Compile + Play". It runs immediately, no setup required

Found this while looking for ESP32/QEMU browser implementations. The multi-board sync between different architectures (AVR vs Xtensa) is what caught my eye. Pretty impressive use of WebAssembly

Re:Ask HN: Is it feasible to build an ESP32 emulator in JavaScript?

The main issue is that ESP32 uses the Xtensa architecture, which is significantly more complex than something like an ATmega328

Copilot's AI is far inferior to the agents in Claude Cowork or OpenClaw. And I think it still uses the OpenAI GPT 4o . Microsoft also put AI everywhere, and with very poor quality.
