Re:Mosquitoes Are a Choice on Monday October 05, 2026 @11:31AM (#49966176)
Mosquito dunks kill larvae. It's used as a mosquito population control in warmer areas. Me and a few neighbors used it this year with good results.

Get a 5 gallon bucket, add water/grass/leaves/dunk and let it sit for a few weeks. Every few weeks add more dunks. Put a stick in there so small animals don't get stuck when trying to get a drink.

Which is why data residency is such a stupid concept.

Re:iOS 27 Released on Monday September 14, 2026 @02:29PM (#49701646)
I had bugs with guided access on iOS 26 locking up and forcing a hard restart to restore touch inputs. I'm back on 18 now. Can anyone confirm that's fixed?
Satellites will never be the internet backbone. Straight line paths over fiber will always be more efficient for carrying bulk traffic.

Last "mile", sure.

curl is not anti-virus.
If $10M or, hell, even $2M doesn't seem close to enough then there is no amount to satiate one's thirst for more money.

But then you'd have to upgrade past 18, meaning the liquid glass abomination.

You can turn tiling off

`yabai -m rule --add app=".*" manage=off`

Re:iOS 18 security update for all iPhone users on Thursday April 02, 2026 @04:43AM (#47611682)
Admitting iOS 26 is a trash fire. When will they unwind the stupid liquid glass and horrible buggy 26?
The proposal is to change to bi-annual. Not annual.
Insurers are only allowed to keep a % as profits. Higher spending increases the absolute amount of profit that can be retained.

Your country's broken internet is your problem. If you are having DNS queries censored then change your DNS resolver on your client side. If you still get intercepted look into DoH.
It broke my carplay too. Updating my infotainment system' fixed' it.
She's on the Cartel payroll. Of course she would say that. You can't be a simple mayor without cartel involvement in Mexico.
Re:Go-legacy-winxp: Compile Golang 1.24 code for Windows XP on Saturday January 17, 2026 @09:05AM (#46658150)
Starting with the very basics: hibernation & track pads.
Aple software has gotten so much worse over the past few years. I'm back on Android.

I suggest Weawow, which has both Android and iOS apps. Ad free.

This is extremely disappointing. Absolutely turned off applying for or working for any YC companies now.

I just checked the American approval of ousting Maduro. It's surprisingly lower than I expected. About an even 33/33/33 split for yes/unsure/no.

There are so many bugs in iOS 26 I've personally experienced. I'd believe anything at this point.

I keep opening my phone "favorites" section and it erroneously reports no favorites. They either eventually load after seconds+ or I have to force close to get them to show.

I am buying an impact driver for someone for christmas. Any recommendations on a fastner/drill bit set?

If you seriously think that's realistic I guess I don't know what to tell you.

#1 Is MAU. I wouldn't find it out of the realm of possibility that only 25% of owners played in the prior month. I wonder what this is for other consoles. I personally contribute to bursts of playing then months of not even touching some of my consoles.
That's honestly be a better time to have it. Most white collar employees are off work or things are at least quiet those weeks.

This is iodine. https://github.com/yarrick/iodine

It takes processing power to scan the photos.
What is that?
