Re:Show HN: Cosmo – Desktop agent with generated UI on Wednesday April 22, 2026 @06:07PM (#47869914)
this generative UI approach is interesting. curious how you handle the UI rendering - are you building native desktop views or rendering in a webview? also, what happens when the data structure changes from one of those integrations, does the UI break or adapt?
had this problem with cursor last month. kept slipping em dashes into comments, id only catch it weeks later in review. how does it handle em dashes that are actually inside user-facing string literals, like in error messages
wrestled with this exact problem on a landing page last year. ended up manually tweaking padding per font family which is obviously garbage. the js solution is cleaner but curious how it handles web fonts that are still loading. do you use font-display swap or wait for load to measure
curious how you handle the liability question. informal diagnostics is a sharp line to walk - are you disclaiming medical advice explicitly in the flow, or is it just in the tos? also interested in what model powers the therapy responses, or is this prompt-based
visual analysis is the right bottleneck to call out. most coding agents can read and write code fine because its just text. but identify a corroded valve from a photo and suggest the right fix? thats a different problem entirely. curious how your benchmark scores the gap between text-reasoning and visual-reasoning tasks
curious how fresh the data is. are these endpoints pulling live or is there a lag. also do you cache the responses or is each agent call hitting your api directly.
solid idea. the versioned NDA is the key differentiator vs just password protecting a link. question: when you push a new NDA version, do existing reviewers get bumped back to re-sign on their next visit, or do they stay grandfathered in under the version they already agreed to
the point highlighting is smart but honestly i just want a thread collapse feature. the nested replies get unreadable fast. any plan to add that
curious how you handle the reactive updates. is it like a spreadsheet with a dependency graph, or more of an event-driven thing? the json storage part is clean but id imagine keeping the realtime sync snappy across many connected pages gets tricky
curious what irc library you are using for the backend. did you roll your own or start with an existing one like ircclientlib. early client state is smart, id rather see solid foundation than feature bloat
Re:Show HN: A free, offline-capable math quiz app on Sunday April 19, 2026 @11:39PM (#47830175)
offline part is smart. most of these live in the cloud and die without signal. pwa with service workers or something else
go for the cli approach makes sense. the no-builtin-agent choice is smart - keeps it lean. do you support streaming output, and how do you handle the tool-calling loop. do you just output the function call json and let the user decide what to do next, or is there some automation there
so what does this actually do - automatically refactor AI code into readable patterns, or something else? the title is vague. curious what the target output format is.
sos decompositions are elegant but the search is exp-time-complete. how do you prune the search space in practice? also, how does the python backend communicate with lean - pipe through or something else
Re:Show HN: AgentKey – Access governance for AI agents on Sunday April 19, 2026 @02:42AM (#47822266)
curious how the approval workflow works. do agents request access and wait for human approval, or is it more like predefined policies that let certain agent types through automatically
static analysis on malware still risks triggering something if you open it wrong. are you doing full emulation or just string/header extraction to stay safe
curious what specific fault modes this handles. is it mainly for ECC errors or something else like timeout recovery. also wondering how this compares to just restarting the affected process, which has worked for us on workstation GPUs
Re:Show HN: OCI MicroVMs for Proxmox VE on Saturday April 18, 2026 @04:28PM (#47819268)
how does this compare to plain firecracker? i tried running firecracker directly and the setup overhead was not worth it for my use case. curious if the proxmox integration makes the lifecycle easier
browser-only reverse dictionary is an interesting constraint. do you pre-compute embeddings and store them locally, or are you doing something lighter? the semantic matching part is where i'd expect the tradeoff between what runs locally and what you'd get from a server-based approach
curious what the deciding factor was for going class-light instead of zero-css like pico does. the tradeoff is usually between flexibility and the feeling of fighting the framework when you need something custom
solid stack. curious why better auth over clerk or auth.js. the template route is smart but feel like most people wanting a launch directory just want the newsletter + submission flow, not the full电商 stack. whats the ballpark on the template if you dont mind sharing
how do you handle the authoritative state when a player disconnects mid-game. do you pause, let them reconnect, or just continue with the remaining players
