I am an experienced backend developer and bioinformatics engineer (not a bioinformatician). Recently, I've been learning some practical ML chops (PyTorch). Eager to explore new areas like machine learning, functional programming (OCaml, Clojure, etc), or observability techs (OpenTelemetry, eBPF).
In light of _another_ NPM worm, I am wondering what can new languages do to avoid such problems. I recall reading somewhere about auditable software supply chains?

I’m a bioinformatics engineer who is open to scientific programming jobs, no matter how small (e.g. even writing simple scripts, websites, fixing old bugs, documentation, etc.)
I’m looking for opportunities to learn a BSD OS. Would love to connect :)
I'd like to find a program that welcomes someone with no research experience and focuses on building said skill, i.e. a place that actually trains researchers, and not a paper mill or IT school (nothing wrong with IT schools, btw. I'm just not looking for them)Thank you very much!
