Every time a market has been taken down it's been due to OPSEC failure and other information leaks (e.g. Silk Road captcha IP leak, DPR's advertising of market being linked to his personal email address). AlphaBay Which got taken down first in this operation was due to a personal email being included in the header of the welcome email sent out to new users 3 years ago [1]

Better a company that generates revenue than one that uses all it's money on growth and has billions $ negative. I hate this idea of a growth rate being "too slow", all it does is encourage monopolisation which is bad for people.

Rise in overdoses can be attributed to dealers adding fentanyl (an extrememly strong synthetic opiate) to their product. If a particular salesman has a product which people have reportedly overdosed on will flock to them as they must be selling a stronger product. Another scenario is where the chemical isn't there in the first place and the dealer is simply mixing fentanyl with a filler, due to it's extreme potency (a dose being less than a milligram), making even a small mistake in the mixing can lead to many overdoses especially with tolerant users used to taking larger amounts.

I agree to an extent however bitcoin marketplaces have a substantially lower bar to entry and slightly more (apparent) transparency to trade volume and holding which can give better ideas as to stability and the market consensus. I admit this is conjecture however it is undeniable that the closed doors of financial institutions make price fixing more convenient.

There is dance music that is original and tasteful you know? The article instead shows quite well how the mainstream edm scene is mindlessly homologous and that for this scene in particular the hype of big dj's is meaningless. In other dance music scenes DJ's are revered for combining their large collections of music, knowledge of track selection, and understanding a crowd to create an individual experience each time. Sure if you have brainwashed yourself to enjoy the tired formulaic mainstream edm drivel you'd love a cliché mainstream edm DJ, however for people who love dance music it can be insufferable.

Not really that accurate; sure they access the valve servers, however most all of them use custom software made by reverse engineering the steam client called steamkit [1] and it's forks. Steam doesn't provide any public api's for trading. [1]https://github.com/SteamRE/SteamKit
