Thanks guys, you did the right thing.
This is just so incredibly disrespectful to so many people.
Wouldn’t it be amazing for Apple to give us a MacBook Air 15” M6 with a 15W sustained passive TDP capability?
Just amazing engineering push, the competition got the message and we benefit.
When you have an agenda to fulfill… and you must frame it negatively…
Naval had a great tweet recently:
“Science is not a process, a credential, or an institution.
It is the unflinching pursuit of truth, carried out by the few, co-opted by the many.”
When did we start institutionalizing it? How about letting the truth be bent? What about the focus on consensus? That’s also what lead to the current situation.
> How did we get here?
Careful what you wish for, that’s how.
Just a simple example: when you play with firm biological facts, you might just open it all up to being bent. But then, wasn’t that maybe the goal all along?
A few interesting undertone points in the article, for those who care:
- reliance on US technologies is not so good, but on Chinese is not discussed, just chosen
- environmental cost is of concern
- so are the energy costs
In the end, there are some clear tips on how to configure the LLM, but overall the article is a bit thin and rather biased.
You are really mixing things here, tbh, not sure whether in good faith.
How does it compare to DHH’s Omarchy?
Looking for opinions from those who tried both.
This, cutting through the noise, this is it.
People who have not discovered the importance of time, and can’t appreciate an outstanding leadership.
Signature, a distinctive signature that looks like.
The “do good” behavior is astonishing
The power of one, the power of a mind who can’t take no for an answer to the inner voice.
And don’t lecture me about the many, for the many wouldn’t have started it, they joined the one.
You know the one, cherish him.
Thanks!

I still remember the doom preached at the crossroads. Guess what happened over the next years.
It worked for Twitter, very well from an IT point of view.
Tell me the success stories of solar/wind renewables in Europe. Don’t cherry pick either.
Btw, do you think going ad hominem changes anything?
Knowing a bit about Spain and the officials over there, I’m skeptical that their plans will materialize anytime soon.
I’m talking facts, you are speculating about what could be.
You are entitled to your own opinions, but not to your own facts
Who’s going to sanction them? In what way?
I find it particularly interesting that countries such as Germany, which have invested heavily in solar and wind energy, have some of the highest electricity prices. At the same time, Germany has shut down nuclear power entirely and is still burning a lot of coal. Including some imported from the other hemisphere, because politicians won’t allow more of it to be mined domestically.
The Netherlands, huge on renewables, “rations electricity to ease power grid stresses.”
I also find it interesting that China, India, etc, can seemingly do whatever they want to secure energy… but behold, when the Western world dares to do the same.
Then there’s Spain, which, after the blackout, suddenly burns 41% more gas.
A recent quote to provide more insights on this:
"Gas played a decisive role in restoring normality in Spain after the April 28 blackout, ensuring supply to all consumers," Enagas Chief Executive Officer Arturo Gonzalo said on an earnings call. Combined-cycle plants went from supplying about 5% of the electricity produced in Spain to 49% "during hours that were critical for the country," he said.
The uncomfortable truth. The pursuit for more and cheaper doesn’t always justify the means.

Quite a strong change over the years. I wonder still, what this all will lead to, even more so given the recent developments.
Amazing what one stubborn person can put into motion
