I don't see anything I really like a lot in python, and for clojure, is there a binary for windows?

New-ish looking to become gamedev

I'm a new-ish programmer looking to start game development. The problem is, I have no idea where to start. I really don't like python that much, and can't decide between using C# or C++, I tried downloading C# but [1] this has windows phone emulators, and tools for XBOX and takes up so much space. Is there an installer just for windows? If not c#, should I start with javascript, or c++?

Re:Problems with Django on Saturday April 28, 2012 @11:41AM (#3903202)
Sorry but, google has no help for this, python 2.7, and can I have a link to the mailing list?

Problems with Django

I've downloaded Python 64 bit and Django 1.4 on Windows 7, but every time I try to execute "django-admin.py startproject mysite" no project gets created? I've uninstalled django and python multiple times and tried over, and no luck. How is this fixable?

Re:Why do we use C still? on Thursday April 26, 2012 @09:40PM (#3897067)
On Linux/Mac you have g++ and on Windows you have MinGW/Visual Studio
Re:Why do we use C still? on Thursday April 26, 2012 @08:38PM (#3896855)
But why use C when there are other Systems programming languages like Go, C++, D, etc..

Why do we use C still?

Why do we use C still when there are other languages like Go or C++ or even D? BCPL and B were done away with so quickly, so why do we still use C in our modern society with languages that can do things a lot more efficiently?

The problem is, the new Webroot interface sucks and I have no idea what to disable.

Having trouble with scheme

The scheme executable file is giving a lot of trouble on windows. I've downloaded and attempted to install it 10 times, but every time I click the executable file, it gets deleted. I think this may be a problem with my Webroot, but I have no idea how to disable this.

Really cool!

Are you thinking of adding new features because you could add sine (and sine-1), cosine(cos -1), square root, tangent (tan -1). This could have a lot of potential.

What are the advantages of this over other frameworks?

Node is terrible on windows

I don't think Rakudo works on windows well anyway

This seems like just a reference, a lot doesn't make sense to me.

Thanks. I'll try out Perl.
