Interesting feedback. I think we are way to close to even see that. A font with the bars on the top and bottom of the I would be a better fit.
Sales (and by extension pitches) is a necessary reality for all companies. Selling is hard. I am not good as sales and we built it to help us sell which is always easier and more effective with visuals.
There are a lot of other uses for PitchIt besides sales but so far the name has clicked with us. Besides I would have to remove my tatoo if the name changed!
Yes, your title suggestion would have been more appropriate. It is all about how we reacted to the honest feedback.
We have made a lot of changes so drawing conclusions is difficult. Removing the name/email on the instant demo instantly increased activity there. Moving forward we also introduced a 30 day free trial which will now be our target metric. We are iterating a lot of things and hopefully can limit are changes and get more targeted data.
We have used other webinar type sw in the past. For every user of webinar sw you can quickly find a story when a meeting was started late or users (connections) dropped out. Internally (read internal network) it works great but as soon as you have others included or someone who doesn't have the plugin installed issues arise.
PitchIt started out as an internal app to help us show our slides remotely while trying to sell a different app. After consecutive calls where clients only asked about what presentation software we were using and if it was for sale, PitchIt was born.
Our focus is on simplicity and the ability to respond to adhoc meetings and opportunities to "Pitch" your products. Your attendees must only click a link and they are in. No plugins to install and it doesn't require high bandwidth.
Yes, you are probably right. We have gone as far as we can ourselves and our next action would be to bring in a designer to help out. I am only pretending to know about colours.
Ha ha. I think the chain will end here. Besides the max title is 80 chars and the "We did a post about how our post about how our post ..." will fit!
As another commenter mentioned "it's been documented that engagement from reddit/facebook/etc is very low". It is all about the unfiltered feedback and what you do with it.
Yes, we didn't have the room for that type of change before with the extra text heading. We'll have to try that out as well... it would be more obvious for sure.
Very true. Just a note that the play button is actually just for the video. The larger green button below it is for the instant demo.
Delay? We were originally using youtube to play the video but now we have switched to Wistia. It is much better and we can link directly to the instant demo at the end rather than showing other random videos.

Comments like yours is why we posted the site here.
Thanks. The form is very slick so just using it to collect the information is not half bad.
Does this allow you to change the price dynamically though?
For example, if the user selects Canada for their billing address I must then add the appropriate taxes to the price dynamically. Doesn't seem like that is possible?
Thanks for those comments. Agree with your points on the aesthetics and the need for simplicity of the product. We also agree with your points on the marketing side. Getting the site up sooner to get feedback like this helps a lot.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, I know what you mean -- projectors are always a pain. You're right, in small groups you can just use PitchIt, no need for a projector and for bigger groups like at an event you can use PitchIt so that the poor people sitting at the back of the room could still have a perfect unobstructed view of the slides on their mobiles.
Hi, I'm Brian, one of the co-founders. We built an internal app to help us show our PowerPoint slides remotely while trying to sell our business app. After consecutive calls where clients only asked about what presentation software we were using and if it was for sale, PitchIt was born.

I have had good success with 2 OCZ (Vertex1 and Vertex2) drives but had an Intel SSD that failed hard on me.

If you use your computer for extended periods of time every day then their performance payoffs outweigh the $. They have come down quite a bit in price lately as well. As the article talks about there are many options available today from at least getting your OS onto a smaller speedy boot drive to housing everything on a larger one.
I for one initially had picked up a 60 GB OCZ Vertex1 awhile ago and then about 10 months ago moved up to a 120 GB Vertex2. Will never look back.

I have 3 monitors.
Left 22" (landscape) 1680x1050
Center 23" (portrait) 1152x2048
Right 22" (landscape) 1680x1050
Pretty happy with my current setup. I have them on monitor arms which is the best thing... ultimate control over placement.
I have had a great experience with
https://www.stormondemand.com/ so far. They offer both shared and bare-metal dedicated and they always seem to be cheap compared to others. They were rated quite high by the cloudharmony benchmarks. Not to mention their support twitter account, when needed, are really responsive.

We setup computers (AMD K2-350 !!) and desks in the morning and played a 2 person LAN game of DoomII for the afternoon. On the 3650th day we played some LAN counter-strike (with a lot more people). Lots of blood, sweat, tears and counter-strike in between. On the 3651th day I left.
