Started it to learn sveltekit but fairly happy with how it turned out. Still more work to be done with optimisations etc but the framework is there.

Currently losing $60/month as it’s part of my mongo atlas subscription and I’ve not gotten around to putting it on a free version yet.

Re:Dark Sky iOS app will no longer work from Dec 31 on Monday September 12, 2022 @06:42PM (#32818173)
iOS only seems to be taking Dark Sky weather as of iOS 16, so guess start comparing them again as it was released today!
Re:Luck Surface Area: How to Get Lucky In Life on Tuesday June 14, 2022 @10:55AM (#31740432)
Exactly the same for me, I really liked the concept if not the phrase itself, but definitely the first place I heard it too!
Re:CSVCHAIN - NFTs backed by CSV technology on Monday January 10, 2022 @04:01PM (#29882383)
This sounds a lot like Matt Levine's newsletter today (Money Stuff). So funny!

So many memories of using a physical robot version of this at school. Good times.
Re:AVX-512: when and how to use these new instructions on Friday September 07, 2018 @02:44PM (#17936662)
Oh now I get the name of that TV show! I never realised it was the name of a joke opcode before, thanks :)
Re:Magic Leap One Creator's Edition First Look on Wednesday August 08, 2018 @10:28AM (#17716228)
Seems to me it is initially a 'developer release' for people to start working out what they want to do with it. That being said it sounds like it might be quite a challenge to get the price point down to something even a VR enthusiast might be interested in purchasing.
Re:Show HN: LonelyPage – One page is all you need on Tuesday March 13, 2018 @03:33PM (#16579043)
I would suggest that, in 2018, you are in the minority.
Re:A week-long programming retreat on Monday March 05, 2018 @01:39PM (#16523214)
I'm not sure we agree on the definition of very simple. It maybe very simple if you already know it...
I was surprised by this. Anyone know the levels of philanthropy of Bezos vs Gates? I've ready many times of the great work and resources (money and otherwise) that Mr Gates has contributed to many causes.
Re:iOS and MacOS Developers Can Now Respond to Reviews on Wednesday January 25, 2017 @08:08AM (#13481066)
10.3 is in beta and the first beta was released to developers yesterday. That link is to pre-release documentation.
Re:$30 Toll to Use Express Lanes on Friday January 06, 2017 @09:48AM (#13336553)
Wonder if there will be any exemptions for high occupancy or EVs or whatever. Not necessarily saying there should be, but wouldn't be the first time a 'special' lane has exemptions.
Re:Chrome browser for businesses on Thursday December 29, 2016 @09:42AM (#13277471)
Not only does Dev stop, but the people that built the app, agreed on the specs and really understood it, all left too. Auto update is unfortunately something that's just not worth the risk in a lot of cases.
Re:Master List of Data Broker Opt-Out Links on Wednesday December 14, 2016 @08:32AM (#13175790)
Are there any downsides to opting out of all these things?
Anyone have any nice links to describe more about queue prefetching as described in this case? My google skills are failing because of all the CPU related articles.
Re:Know before you go, with Google on Tuesday November 22, 2016 @09:18AM (#13014250)
That would be useful, especially for someone like a traveling salesman.
I think the main point you're not taking yet Dan is that you SHOULD be able to accommodate every user in your sales pipeline demo. Even if you fake it with pre-baked results or something in the meantime, Pick a sample->click next->load static html.

If they want to try out their own markdown, then worry about spinning up a container.

Re:Ask HN: Which VPN do you use and why? on Wednesday June 08, 2016 @08:29AM (#11861735)
VyperVPN has always been good to me and I've never read anything bad against it, anyone had bad experiences I should know about?
As has been mentioned elsewhere, it seems the real 'value' of this debt to people buying it, is not the debt itself because it can't legally be enforced, but the personal information that goes along with it.
The stars sure are beautiful.

Re:Philae has landed on Wednesday November 12, 2014 @11:15AM (#8596233)
Seeing their faces on the live feed when it landed was amazing. It must be so exciting.
I was just looking for something like this. I missed my push->circleci->test->deploy workflow when I moved to iOS development. Will be having a serious look at this later.
Re:New MacBook Air Released – $100 Cheaper on Tuesday April 29, 2014 @08:40AM (#7666502)
They're just minor bumps to specs and a reduction in price, they normally don't do big announcements for something like this. Now if/when the retina MacBook Airs come out you can be sure there'll be an announcement for that...
Re:The microhydro plant on Thursday December 12, 2013 @03:14PM (#6896865)
Ah, I finally found it, including the full show. If anyone is interested it was Science Shack with Adam Hart Davis. I've not rewatched the show but I guess it was either the heat pump or the vortex tube...
