Re:In China, the AI bubble has burst on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @04:49PM (#50265601)
What are the ramifications for the US AI market? The "Magnificent Seven" tech giants account for roughly 35% of the S&P 500 index. A domestic market correction is coming, it's only unsure how many trillions in equity value could get wiped out.
Brilliant, I learned something today.
Super impressive. Definitely gonna play around with this. Awesome work!
Re:JetBrains Fleet drops support for Kotlin Multiplatform on Wednesday February 12, 2025 @08:29AM (#43025213)
Contrary to that, I used Jetbrains IDEs for a decade, or even longer, and recently I have switched to VS Code for my Go and TypeScript work. Sometimes less is more.

I'll have ChatGPT summarize the findings for me.
Hahaha, this is so funny. Thank you for sharing. See also Nvidia culitho and its meaning in Spanish.
Code style and code formatting introduce so much friction in modern .NET and Java development teams, that despite any advantage these might have due to their ecosystem maturing, it's more efficient and sane to avoid these languages altogether.
Re:Paul Graham is leaving Twitter on Sunday December 18, 2022 @03:07PM (#34042405)
Can't say about pg, but I left Twitter (I'm a regular, non-blue user) because the ads lately got out of control. Every other post is a promoted ad from a totally unrelated category, which I can't relate to. Ads targeting either stopped working, or Twitter allowed large numbers of low quality advertisers to push their ads.
Re:Argentina Wins the Football World Cup on Sunday December 18, 2022 @02:30PM (#34041846)
Definitely one of the best World Cup finals ever. Even 1/2 finals were too good. Argentina deserved their win, I missed di Maria when they replaced him, and when it was 2:2, he couldn't be there when he was needed the most. The Polish referee did amazing job as well, one must say.
Re:New motorcycle lighting design could save lives on Friday October 21, 2022 @03:14AM (#33285376)
Adventure motorcycle riders have been adding auxiliary lightning kits for a long time, for example, this BMW R1250: https://imgur.com/a/H0nYGIx.

The point being, according to studies, is that drivers gave auxiliary lighting equipped motorcycles a greater margin before pulling out on them. There are other studies which indicate that cars pull out on bikes as the driver perceives the motorcycle as a small thing, ergo it is far away and also less of a threat. A big triangle of three lights is much more dominant, it features in the view of the driver and is less likely to be ignored in a "micro glance".

Bravo!

This is plain and simply incredible.
Re:Things people blamed on bicycles on Thursday August 25, 2022 @02:18AM (#32590224)
Nowadays you can buy a great bike for $1000 and be totally satisfied with it, ride it for years, or you can shell out $15000 for the top of the line model. And I'm talking about regular bikes, not e-bikes.
Re:Morrowind 20-year anniversary book on Tuesday May 24, 2022 @11:25AM (#31493334)
Oh, I didn't know that. Tnx! For me, it meant the end of the game and it would require restarting the game. Next time I catch it, I'll see what it actually does.
Re:Morrowind 20-year anniversary book on Tuesday May 24, 2022 @10:54AM (#31492918)
I remember catching the Corpus disease and then trying to cure it with the utmost urgency, as if I'm really being sick. While searching for the cure, I got that shocking message "Your case of Corprus has worsened.". I went searching on the Internet for cure and once I had the potion, I was so relieved.
I have forgotten that trick. Good ol' times. :)
Re:Yandex Provides Update on Impact of Current Developments on Saturday March 05, 2022 @01:17AM (#30564856)
Oh, I know.
Definitely a great initiative. I was made aware what irreversible damage so called small hydro plants are doing to these creeks and rivers. Pretty much all they do is to generate additional revenue to local tycoons, while producing insignificant amounts of energy.
Re:Don't start with microservices – monoliths are your friend on Thursday December 16, 2021 @09:11AM (#29578265)
I've started doing microservices 5-6 years ago, and I don't want to go ever writing monoliths. I don't understand why these articles keep popping up.
