Hey Dan,

I'm naveen, solo developer behind fridaygpt. thanks for pointing this out. you're absolutely right. api key requirement wasn't clear enough on the landing page. honestly, i hadn't realized this was causing confusion since current users didn't flag it until now.

i've just updated the landing page to make the "bring your own api key" requirement explicitly clear. if i'd noticed this earlier, it would have been fixed sooner.

Hello, I'm naveen, developer of FridayGPT. Sorry, currently there is no free trial. App is a one-time payment, and you need to provide your own (OpenAI, Anthropic) API key to use the app.

Hey HN, I made FridayGPT to instantly access ChatGPT back in August 2023 for my own needs using SwiftUI. I shared it with a few of my friends, and they were using it every day.Recently, I added a one-click grammar fix and an OpenAI-powered Voice-to-Text feature. I also released it to the public as a one-time paid app. Please check out: https://www.fridaygpt.app
