Biggest product killer for these is the need for IT management.

Prove to retailers that your product is install-and-forget or they'll shy away from the unpredictable maintenance costs.

Could you elaborate on that? Why does the narrow frequency drain power?

Re:Physicists find a new way to push electrons around on Sunday September 14, 2014 @02:38PM (#8315870)
TFA talks about a neutral zone. I assume there is a flow of equal number of (+) and (-) particles there.

If that is utilized, heat savings might prove to be true.

Re:Physicists find a new way to push electrons around on Sunday September 14, 2014 @02:05PM (#8315792)
There is something about there being 4 electrons in the outermost shell of an element.

What is it?

Re:Meet the Apple Watch on Tuesday September 09, 2014 @03:21PM (#8292046)
Terrible design.

The high-end customers you desire will never abandon their shiny Swiss watches for this.

The low-end customers will (once again) be claimed by Samsung.

I didn't really like him, but Jobs was indeed a visionary. Apple is losing ground (alarmingly rapidly, I might add) after him. May he rest in peace.

Not quite.

Economics teaches you that there is no logic or system to this chaos, and after a threshold, it's no man's land.

Then, natural instinct takes over.

Welcome to the jungle.

Hate is an illness?

How is that different from sharia muslims who say gayness is an illness?

Anyway, reading TFA is a waste of time.

Re:Piri Reis Map on Friday July 18, 2014 @05:13AM (#8052230)
In BBC's Museum Mysteries docus, in the Topkapı Palace episode, they offer their theory for this.

They think that Piri Reis (commander of the navy at that time) obtained maps from ships that passed through the Bosphorus. He was then able to draw a current map of the world from all the diverse information.

They basically explored the world without ever leaving home.

This guy can populate all the land with cool projects which will eventually benefit research - http://biology.ucsd.edu/research/faculty/smayfield

Re:Google Glass hack allows brainwave control on Thursday July 10, 2014 @12:00PM (#8015404)
To clarify; it doesn't enable one to hack your brainwaves. Rather, control things with your brainwaves.

Not very reliable unless you are willing to risk unloading serious voltage through your subject's head.

Do you really think Obama is where he is today out of merit?

He won't rock the boat. He won't go JFK on people and cause a ruckus.

Do you really believe an upper-middle-class lawyer can breeze past the multi-billionaires?

Look at what's happening in Detroit. Who the scapegoat is for the downfall of an entire city.
