For anyone interested in a GUI around Jev I built Decision Studio for experimenting with it in our self-hosted OSS llms.py [1]

You can define tasks like sentiment analysis, support triage, or claim support, tweak the questions and criteria, and inspect the answers and probability distributions. You can also import existing recipes, save examples, and share recipes with recorded results.

An OpenRouter API key is required to use Jev.

Been a JetBrains customer for over a decade, that used to use several of their IDEs, but don't expect to renew again. IMO they completely dropped the ball on AI integration, everything they forced into the IDE seem to be an annoyance.

Turns out I can easily get by on VS Code / Claude / ChatGPT / Antigravity. DataGrip is going to be hard to replace, but don't need anything more than the current version, hopefully they'll let me keep using it.

They haven't denied it yet, it's still under investigation. They may be able to workout they were the only country in this war with Tomahawks responsible for the triple-tap missile strike, after the mid terms. Or they may just move on from it and never talk about it again, like the Epstein files.

It's nice to have more options, so far I've managed to handle most of my Linux graphics needs with https://www.photopea.com - amazing broad support of document image formats, full-featured edits and all running in the browser.
Re:Gemini 3.8 Flash on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @01:06PM (#49539252)
anyway to do this with the Antigravity macOS App?
Re:Gemini 3.8 Flash on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @11:43AM (#49538000)
I'm trying it now for token heavy coding tasks, it's capable for many tasks but in noway compares to Claude/Sol - requires more prompts and the output isn't as good.

So just another mid-tier flash model, nothing exciting, but Antigravity has very generous quotas so it's a good workhorse model when your Claude/OpenAI subs run out.

And whilst it's a fast model, having to baby sit through and approve prompts every few seconds ends up making it slower than the Auto approve modes of Claude/ChatGPT - they definitely need an auto approve mode.

Re:Gemini-3.5-Transcribe on Thursday August 27, 2026 @10:56PM (#49473837)
Annoying that they don't include pricing info in new models, here it is [1]:

Gemini 3.5 Transcribe Live (Per 1M tokens in USD):

    Input: $3.50 or $0.005/min* (audio)
    Output: 21.00 or $0.004/min* (text)
Gemini 3.5 Transcribe:

    Input: $2.00 or $0.003/min* (audio)
    Output: $12.00 or $0.002/min* (text)

Re:New Mac mini, featuring M6 and M5 Pro on Tuesday August 25, 2026 @01:28PM (#49437562)
Considering doing exactly this, hopefully by the time M7 Ultra is out, the RAM Apocalypse will be over.
Re:New Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra on Tuesday August 25, 2026 @12:22PM (#49436580)
Still absurd, but it's $4K for an additional 164GB RAM.
Re:New Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra on Tuesday August 25, 2026 @11:31AM (#49435874)
Waited years for a decent Desktop lineup like this as I was hugely disappointed in the generation old M3 Ultra when it was released. Unfortunately it took Apple so long that the memory prices are now through the roof - USD $4000 for 164GB RAM upgrade is insane.

I may consider a M6 Mac Mini as a stop-gap whilst waiting out RAM Apocalypse to be over. Basically abandoning any ambitions of AI sovereignty and riding out subsidised LLM pricing for the next couple of years.

Been a happy Omarchy user for over a year, it's changed how I work with lots of Hyprland grouped windows spread across multiple virtual desktops which I can easily get to each with just a few keystrokes, it's a pretty fluid workflow after you get used to the keybindings.

Things I like about Omarchy:

   - Great job at blending Native Desktop, Web and CLI Apps - they launch & look the same
   - Polished themes - applied to most Apps (inc. running)
   - Built in installers for most dev tools, lets you get setup with most popular programming langs in a few secs
   - Built-in Windows (run in Docker container) great to have when you need it
Also something I only started doing recently is whenever I hit any Linux issue I now just paste it into ChatGPT and let it fix it for me which saved a lot of time porting my customizations over to Quattro. There's now built-in support for passing the crash info to your default AI Agent when a process crashes.

I'm using AI to power a lot of my desktop tasks now, even ended up buying Davinci Resolve yesterday since the paid version had scripting support which let me use ChatGPT to implement some video effects.

Minimal UI library results in maximal App code, which makes it a good usecase for why you're better of with React/Vue
Surveillance comes for us all.

There are way more important things in life than Karma, preventing Zionists from actively trying to hide and whitewash Israel's genocides is one of them.
Trying to attribute blame on anyone but its current Occupiers who are bombing them daily during a "ceasefire" is purposefully presenting a false narrative to hide who are responsible for systematically preventing and destroying aid, bulldozing homes, destroyed water wells, and deliberately targeting and starving children [1]

[1] https://news.un.org/en/story/2026/06/1167790

Sounds like exactly what a covert Zionist would say.

Trying to blame the genocide in Gaza on Iran is particularly insulting, after we've seen Israel slaughter 20,000+ kids and 75,000+ civilians in 4k [1], who continue killing Palestinians every day with 60 Palestinians killed in the past week, burning families in their home whilst they sleep [2] despite the "ceasefire", and who've killed more journalists than anyone else trying to prevent people reporting on their atrocities [3].

Re:Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash-Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber on Wednesday July 22, 2026 @05:37AM (#49004046)
Antigravity is now split into 2 Apps:

'Antigravity' which is an agent-first editor layout where you don't see your code and just prompt it.

'Antigravity IDE' which uses the Windsurf/VS Code editor, which is still what I primarily use in my day-to-day.

I hope they never retire the IDE, I don't think I can get used to prompting an AI Agent without being able to see my code to help workout what needs to be done.

Re:Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash-Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber on Tuesday July 21, 2026 @12:25PM (#48994491)
Always happy to see new Gemini releases as IMO Antigravity Pro 16.67/mo plan (Annual) is still the best plan available and have been pretty happy with Antigravity IDE.

If it wasn't for Gemini/Antigravity I'd have to go with a Max Claude plan, as it stands now I can get by with just a Claude Pro plan to get Opus when I need it, whilst using Antigravity as my day-to-day workhorse.

Unfortunately Gemini Flash became too expensive to use as a general purpose model (i.e. for AI features in Apps), luckily there are plenty of cheaper Chinese models to fill that gap now.
