Show HN: HackerCinema, a portal for all the Movies/TV mentioned on Hacker News

https://hacker-cinema.chapra.co/

Inspired by Andrej Karpathy's HackerTube[1]. With some features taken from HackerBooks[2].The data categorization of the data was not so straightforward as for YouTube urls, so there are going to be mistakes. I am also no the Pro plan for Claude, so I used Haiku5.5 instead of Sonnet to parse the data.[1] https://hackertube.org

Google also has had 2 consecutive negative FCF quarters. It is clear that the management do not have a handle over this transition. The expenditure has no reason to stop, and their earnings are not going to balloon thrice over the next 4 quarters.

Let alone the debt. It has tripled over the year, and at this pace, servicing debt will become a huge cost.

A list of all the militias in the US:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_militia_organizations_...

While there are some on the leftist side, the vast majority of them have right-wing politics.

There is one caveat; Federal law enforcement routinely infiltrate groups that are mostly violent bluster, and creates agitation. This is entrapment, and is considered legal. However, it is very hard to ascertain which are really dangerous.

Well the Super Mega Ultra Pro Max federal police force that was supposed to enforce immigration laws is spying on American citizens. And charging them taxes to do so.

If you support this, you are supporting fascism.

I wonder what your opinion is on Google's latest crash.

At the current, google will bleed all it free cash by 2028.

In all of this, the US has not mentioned one American that was prosecuted by the ICC
That is not true. Semiconductor industry saw a similar supply crunch during covid and spent heavily for capacity. And when the crunch tapered off, they were left holding the bag.

Micron would probably not even exist, or be a sticker brand for some Chinese conglomerate if not for this supply shock.

They are a lot more reticent this time around.

I just got some windfall. Maybe I will pickup the Macbook Pro I so desperately need!

Will it make my Android assistant suck less?

Google assistant had problems, but it did not gaslight me about my contacts!

Conservapedia is not a history book.
Re:OpenAI agents carried out an undisclosed attack on RubyGems on Saturday September 12, 2026 @08:26AM (#49671640)
I have reason to believe that this is not emergent behavior. This is part of the prompts for the agents.
Most of the crowd here is pretty familiar.

Some might say their job is optimizing ways to make numbers appear better without substantial change in input or output.

I guess we know why OpenAI and Claude went down at the same time.
Cancers being distinct living beings by itself is controversial, but you unnecessarily anthropomorphizing.

The truth is much more mundane. It's just Goodhart's Law.

Probably

An aside: When did talking like incels became cool?

The worst use case to show this.

The danger right now, and even in the immediate future is not SkyNet.

It is industrialized "Pig Butchering"[1] scams.

No, they are arguing that a plane is not a bird because it is a machine. Regardless of how fast it flies, it will not be a bird.

If you have enough of a budget, you can ask your agent to spawn two subagent to do independent audits of "your" work.
Re:DeepSeek v4.1 Flash on Thursday September 10, 2026 @01:20PM (#49647238)
A stick is the most basic of tools.

A stick is also the most basic of weapons.

Re:DeepSeek v4.1 Flash on Thursday September 10, 2026 @01:18PM (#49647203)
The same mechanisms exist in every machine learning algorithm. Is the spell check in Word conscious?

Is the generative fill in photoshop conscious?

A plane flies. It is much better at flight than bird(in terms of transportation). Is a plane also a bird?

Re:DeepSeek v4.1 Flash on Thursday September 10, 2026 @01:14PM (#49647150)
In the CBS neo-cyberpunk show Person of Interest, one of the "villains" sacrifices his life for the "antagonist" AI using this logic.

At that time, I found it quite trite.

It is the "why use python" for mobile.

The native apps will definitely be better in terms of performance and UX. However, having 2 codebases means twice the tokens.

The first conviction of Computer Abuse and Fraud Act, for the Morris Worm, was for an unintentional malware. Or at least the unintentional scale

Re:Ask HN: Model Sycophancy Benchmarks? on Sunday September 06, 2026 @01:53PM (#49589023)
I think we should design a "Bullshit Benchmark" that tests for sycophancy and fluff like Opus 5 "two X, but only Y matters" color commentary
Re:QBittorrent breaks out of sandbox to commit crimes on Sunday September 06, 2026 @01:31PM (#49588804)
Intention matters in the severity of charges and sentencing. Crime due to ignorance or negligence is still a crime.
