Has anyone seen a really big version of a swing designed for grown-ups? I'm wondering if a longer chain might be a little more thrilling for adults.
I'm with you. These kind of images stay with me forever, particularly at 4 o'clock in the morning.
I'm very experienced at UI/UX and suck at programming, so I'm happy to help you out. (I might need your help too one day!)
Find me at www.mathlete.com
Sorry to be that guy, but is there a text-only way to read this article? I just can't handle the images, they're haunting me.
I bought an Apple Watch last fall in what I assumed was a silly, tech-geek pursuit of getting in shape. Surprisingly, the Activity app (the one with the rings) has completely transformed my body. I know all the tricks it's using to motivate me, but damn it, it works. I make sure to close my rings every single day and it shows: I've lost weight, gained noticeable muscle, and went down a notch in my belt. Oh, and I've heard it also tells time.
You should try it out, I'd love to know if it works as well for you as the spreadsheet version you're using!

Sure, you could liquidate your investments if need be, but you'll get hit with high short-term capital gains taxes if you sell equities you've held for a year or less. If held longer than a year, you'll pay long-term capital gains taxes, which are substantially lower.
If you meet the income requirements (>$116k if single, >$183k if filing jointly), you can contribute up to $5,500 per year into a Roth IRA which can also double as an emergency fund if need-be. You can withdraw all your contributions with zero penalty anytime for any reason. You just can't withdraw your earnings on those contributions without a penalty.

Hey man, I'm building something similar, I'd love to chat about it with you. Used to work at Intuit, came up with this idea, I've been working on this for 5 years, full time for two.

I did a Friends & Family round of financing where I offered my investors a 20% bonus (AKA 80% discount) on their equity in a convertible note. Now that it's an Angel Round, is there some standard to go by in offering a discount? Or none at all?
God, I never put my finger on it until you mentioned it. So true.

I'm working full time on my startup. I've raised some Friends & Family money but I want to use it on building the company, not paying my rent. I applied for Unemployment and they scheduled an interview with me. What do I tell them, if anything? It seems the Employment Development Dept doesn't take "starting up a start up" into account.
Simple.com's homepage used to say "Beautiful banking, handcrafted in Portland." <gag>

The three examples provided in the video instructions are continuous footage, but I'm wondering if that's significantly preferred to editing so we can get in everything we want to say from our best takes. Thoughts?
link? Or are you referring to "Why BitCoin Matters"?
Homeboy flew out and delivered homemade cookies and a trophy to his 10,000th user. Awesome.
Thanks, I'll check it out!

I want to charge users between 25¢-$1 for occasionally-used functions rather than a subscription fee for permanent access to those features. Any advice?

I'm the founder of my startup but hired an outside CEO. I'm about to have my first post Series A board meeting and I'm not sure about my role in the meeting. Any advice?

I'm Chairman of the Board at my startup, which is about to go from 3 people (2 others I know well) to 7 people (4 others I don't know well). Any advice on running a board meeting?
Hm, been googling him but not much comes up besides mentions that he was lousy and made a surprise resignation at Linuxcare...

I had the perfect domain name - but it was a .net. We even had the perfect logo for it. But everyone in the biz told me I needed a .com, even my mom. So I spent a few hours with a thesaurus and came up with a shortlist, and of the ones available, the best was offered by BuyDomains.com for $2,500. I mentioned it to my investors and my parents and they said BUY IT NOW. My team was less enthusiastic about the name, but they understood why it was good:
- .com
- 5 letters, 2 syllables
- easy to pronounce and spell
- the name made sense for our business, it wasn't nonsense
I went for it and I'm really glad I did. Would I do it for $3K? Not sure. $4K? I don't want to think about it.
