Sure, so now because kids are dicks, I shouldn't be able to tell what's a iMessage and what is an SMS?
What is dark about the best time to get high?
Re:The Git Commands I Run Before Reading Any Code on Monday April 13, 2026 @06:42AM (#47750178)
Code merges are made by reviewers in my org, not by the author.

Spend time educating your team about `git commit --amend` and `git push --force` on their own branches and you don't have to see any of that ugliness.

Re:Am I German or Autistic? on Friday April 10, 2026 @01:32AM (#47714032)
So, why no German language version?

I am convinced that the majority of Germans are on the spectrum. What other country builds viewing platforms for construction sites?

I just wanted to say thank you. This is a great read.

Check out the Kingdom Come Deliverance series.

Sure, you'll be a badass at the end, but you're going to earn it. :)

He totally murdered that guy!

What? Why would you say murdered, he only gave him a black eye?

I know, but that's still pretty serious.

I tested "all supported" but this is explicitly for 5:

I can confirm that PHP doesn't have this problem.

<?php

if ("null" == null) { echo "true"; } else { echo "false"; }

prints "false"

Re:It's not a crime if we do it with an app on Monday January 27, 2025 @01:36AM (#42838072)
No, the article says that the suppliers send data to a central service, which then tells them the optimal price, this service bases this price based on data sent by all other suppliers, and presumably gives all suppliers the same price.

As far as I know, Mr. Zuckerberg still owns a controlling interest in Meta Platforms.

Since he has 57% of the votes, he can tell everyone to pound sand.

Re:DeskPad – A virtual monitor for screen sharing on Friday October 11, 2024 @05:08AM (#41807711)
What exactly do you mean by "can't do HD?"

I can set my display to 1728x1080. That's HD.

I can also output my Mac to an HD TV, Projector, etc. And I have the notch on my MacBook Pro.

Do you have some other definition of HD that I'm not understanding?

I think they mean that the change is at the end of the first word in the Variable. i.e, Worker vs. Worklet instead of Worker vs. TinyWorker?

Doesn't make too much sense to me, but I think that's what they are saying.

Is this the best headline for this? Seems a little clickbaity
Re:Ryanair – when every page is a dark pattern on Saturday July 20, 2024 @02:03AM (#41014427)
The point still stands. A bus is pretty much a FILO queue, so the order inverts when they climb in the Bus.
Maybe add a “We use” to the title?
That doesn't say what you think it does.

Quoting the judgement: "only works created by a human can be copyrighted under United States law, which excludes photographs and artwork created by animals or by machines without human intervention"

Clearly, the machine in question is responding to human prompts. The LLM didn't create this program on its own.

So I think these are still open issues.

In German we use “Akku” which is short for “Akkumulator” for rechargeable batteries.
Re:How to Copy a File From a 30-year-old Laptop on Friday May 31, 2024 @12:06PM (#40536855)
DB9 serial to USB Null modem cable + some simple file transfer software would have solved this in minutes.

Since the mac had a built-in modem, you could have used that software to transfer the file via xmodem or ymodem protocol.

I guess this isn't common knowledge any more.

Well, this is for firefox, and the other is for Chrome, so maybe that's a significant upgrade?

This reads to me (and the OP) that you are saying the purpose of this "insanely expensive cluster" was to "show a benchmark."

That's what OP is addressing in his response. No where do you mention anything about performance.

But how much variance can you reasonably expect from a logo based on an anthropomorphized bao bun?

But what is the fifth problem?
While parts of the objection might be legitimate for logistical reasons (ie, requiring the same supervisor for every shift), the unmitigated gall of the prosecutor is telling.

I know that the US judicial system is adversarial where winning is the only thing that matters, somehow we should see the prosecuting (who represents the people in their jurisdiction) standing up for justice.

You buy a house with the cash (private transaction) and then sell the house in a year.
