This is a kid friendly multi player or single player Wordle type game. There’s an easy mode (ninja mode) which accepts any 3 letter word and a category mode. Also, it allows up to eight letters. 1-4 players. Hope you enjoy :)
This is spectacular. What a great achievement. I have a few questions.
1. Will the battery pack be an additional charge?
2. What will be the defining factor for higher priced models (memory, larger battery, cellular etc)?
3. What effect on the body will this have for long term daily use?
4. Will content creators be able to price their content differently for this device?
5. How will Apple display the demo in store?
6. Is there a feature that allows multiple users?
7. Will this function as a real computer like a Mac or more like an iPad?
8. Is there a feature to prevent social awkwardness?

I had the same question! From what I can gather, the black hole is plowing through gas, when the gas gets too close to the black hole, it gets sucked in and forms a disk around the black hole. As the gas disk spirals in towards the black hole, it gets heated up and shocked, causing it to fragment and form clumps. These clumps eventually collapse under their own gravity, forming stars. How cool is that!
Yes, it requires luck and yes, you can increase your probability of getting lucky.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. The cavalier attitude toward the dangers here is shocking.
Isn’t it a bit reckless to keep this thing online especially since it has access to up to date info? It seems like there’s a non zero chance that it’s smart enough to bypass its human made safeguards.
Can you explain a bit more? Why would this cause china not to support Russia? Why is counting nuke sites useful? Who’s allowed to request?

This is cool! I had some success winning by tapping to a beat (I changed my choice every time the cadence in the song changed).

Using an iPhone. Google photos was my go to. I'm considering icloud 2 tb.Is that the best option or is there anything similar to google photos?
I think this is incredibly self evident but I’ll say it anyway, becoming well acquainted with the fact that you’re gonna die is the best way to gain clarity on what’s important. It’s the backdrop to everything else. It’s still shocking to me that people don’t understand how important this is to living a life that YOU want.
I don’t think this is worth 10$ a month and I hope they come out with a free tier at some point. In my experience copilot is fantastic for autocomplete.
Probably the best autocomplete I’ve ever used across multiple languages but it’s not reliable at all for the more complex tasks that their marketing makes it seem it’s good at.

My problem with this is that we don’t even know the extent of “things” that can be computed, maybe consciousness is a type of computation that has yet to be discovered at which point I can very easily see the headline “consciousness is obviously computation”.
I’ve intuited this for quite some time. There seems to me to be a place within our psyche were decisions are made and I would bet that it’s not through our “thinking through a problem” paradigm where so many of us think our decisions come from.
I’m curious how this plays into the free will conversation. I think if people could get accustomed to seeing themselves and others as not having quite as much free will as one might think, that would do wonders for humanity.
I think the idea of attention being commodity is mostly looked at through a pejorative lens but I wonder if it's the beginning of the next stage of human evolution were boredom no longer has value and maybe thats a good thing?
I haven't thought about this alot and I'm very curious shat other on here might think about this idea.
Thanks for your kind words. Things have gotten slightly better but only because of my personality of persistence. I’ve met with many fathers who didn’t have the same capacity for persistence as me and their situation is much worse.
I agree, it feels kinda gross to say it’s the rational thing to do but in my experience incentives always win and it seems like it’s difficult for some mothers to see their childrens father on the same level as them as a parent. It’s toxic but I think it’s much more common than people realize. And this is even when the parents are still together, once a separation is initiated, I think it’s natural for this feeling to grow.
I can see my childrens mom rationalize what she did very easily. She had to keep her babies safe etc… when your in the process of breaking up a family long term thinking is much harder, survival is the goal and I think for many moms the thought of losing access to their children part of the time is unbearable.
Of course that thought (and reality) is unbearable for me too but I don’t have the family court on my side because I’m a man, if I did, I’d probably make the decision to keep their their mom in their life but it would be a very difficult decision to say goodbye to my children half the time. It’s emotional torture which makes
rationalizations very very enticing.
So yeah, I think long term you’re right, but in practice it’s really hard to be purely rational in the moment.
As someone who has gone through something similar to this, it was heartbreaking to discover that parental alienation is quite common.
Child raising is too delicate and nuanced to be relegated to process level decisions. It’s too late for my situation but family court with children involved is something I hope gets revamped sooner rather than later.
Many of the family court laws are a relic from a time when the roles of men and women were very different from the standard of today and unfortunately many women use this to their advantage (which I suppose is the rational thing to do).
Now, whenever I see a woman claiming to be a victim in a family matter I look way more closely than I would have in the past and I hope society as a whole starts to do this too.
Of course, I’m not saying only women use victimhood to their advantage but I am saying that there is a very clear incentive to claim to be a victim in todays society and in family court especially. As long as a woman is ok with lying, it’s almost foolish for her to NOT claim to be the victim. The incentive needs to be removed.
As someone who has been in the position of being guilty until proven innocent, I'm elated about this. I hope it signals a shift in our zeitgeist toward requiring cogent evidence instead of assuming guilt.
