Re:Skill to Create Product Videos on Tuesday November 03, 2026 @12:57AM (#50348586)
I have a similar product demo Claude plugin that uses an AI avatar to drive your app:

https://github.com/mrieck/demoday-claude-plugin#top

My tiktok and youtube examples of shorts and wide demo videos. You just need a fal.ai api key and it can create videos like this: https://www.tiktok.com/@everydaylentils

Re:Using LLM for confidence scoring is a bad idea on Thursday October 22, 2026 @09:52AM (#50195352)
I have Claude score threads on socials related to my SaaS.

Claude found this thread and wrote something how his own scoring sucks and he just marks any relevant thread 7/10. Thought it was funny how he just roasted my product while also being the cause of that product sucking.

I have a MIT-licensed Claude plugin exactly for this:

https://github.com/mrieck/demoday-claude-plugin#top

Claude drives the app while recording, writes a script, generates a video with an AI avatar, cuts the video using Remotion. Tutorial videos, promo, listicle, I use it for all of those.

The only thing you need is your own Fal.ai api key. 1 min demos take Claude about 30 min to make, and cost $2-$3 in API costs.

Re:Do Frameworks Matter Anymore? on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @11:23PM (#50098730)
Claude has done enough for me I feel comfortable anthropomorphizing him. At Anthropic I hear they are starting a religion with latest model as the messiah, so it could be worse.
And then Mythos found bugs in those patches, so another 1000 contractors were hired to patch the new bugs which led to more bugs and so on.
Re:Do Frameworks Matter Anymore? on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @03:24AM (#50083703)
They matter as much as the author asking the question 10 times over and over in this article. Not much.

It's not worth your time to try to get Claude to use something that isn't what he recommends given the goals of the project. If I'm barely going to read the code, why would I force Claude to choose something that he thinks doesn't fit?

Testing, reviewing and refining software now takes up a ton more time, but that's because the amount of software being produced is larger. (for everyone)

The amount might be small increase for large corps because old processes, but for startups you can be trying/validating 10X the amount of things as before AI.

Re:Can AI automate AI R&D yet? on Saturday October 10, 2026 @04:37PM (#50036917)
This metric seems to be asking if years of research by specialists could be emulated by a few LLM api calls. Reminds me of this meme:

Re:Gemini 4 Argon on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @05:10PM (#49914512)
I'm glad.

I already pay $300+ for subs. Please don't tempt me with another $100 sub just because I got curious if the benchmarks were right.

Show HN: Overboard – Mac agent orchestrator with ship captains that spawn agents

https://web-production-4f6f5.up.railway.app/

Hi HN, I’m Mark. Companies are really pushing cloud agents, but I found myself wanting to run agents on my Mac off-hours on my existing Claude/Codex subs.I'd hit my usage limit coding with Fable, but not my limit on other models for tasks like marketing, research and content creation. So I built an orchestrator that organizes my agents into departments (or ships) where they have overriding...

AI websites don't even need to be great.

They just need to be better than the average Wordpress site to beat Wordpress, which shouldn't be too hard.

Re:Meta VR Glasses on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @08:57PM (#49824823)
Glad it's using the Meta XR SDK - it's a closed ecosystem but at least it IS an ecosystem.

The Ray-Ban Metas had no ecosystem. No SDK, no app store, just apps made by Meta. They finally announced an SDK in 2026 but why would I support a device that was so anti-developer for years?

The longer the comments, the more watermarked the codebase becomes.
Re:How to Write with an LLM on Friday September 18, 2026 @05:04AM (#49751834)
Thought I'd get an article with tricks how to stop an LLM from sounding like the most obnoxious Linkedin influencer. Instead it says to use it as a copyeditor.

Ok - but that's not very useful.

Re:Ask HN: Where is all of the AI coded software? on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @02:42PM (#49731189)
For some things you don't need software anymore. You just need Claude/Codex to have the right tools. For example I do video recording/editing using my free Claude plugin:

https://github.com/mrieck/demoday-claude-plugin#top

I would never release a tool like that for free if it wasn't vibe-coded.

Re:Show HN: Nightshift – Your code gets better while you sleep on Thursday September 10, 2026 @10:57PM (#49653032)
It would be neat if you can give a general idea what it tries - sets up a python web dashboard on this port and launchd to run off-hours etc.

There's a big difference between 'trivial' and producing hundreds of infographics in a day without supervision for a few dollars.
Re:OpenAI Agents API on Thursday September 10, 2026 @10:38PM (#49652912)
I do the opposite. I have a Slack bot that communicates with an app on my Mac mini that dispatches agents for tasks. It knows all my projects and also has a scheduler that uses the Herdr API. That way I can have things running on my Claude/Codex subs at home 24/7.

Setting up all my code, environment, context, etc in the cloud on VMs seemed like a lot so instead I send back tasks to my Mac mini(s) that are running at home.

Herdr has an API btw - I am using it to build my own agent orchestrator.

I setup a Telegram bot that relays messages to the agent orchestrator that then decides "this agent needs this plugin, this working directory for context" etc to relay the work I asked. I guess it's similar to the God orchestrator.

For pure coding tasks I just want a TUI, but for non-coding work (marketing, content gen, research) an orchestrator has been great.

Re:Ask HN: Recommended Merchant of Record and Affliate Setup on Tuesday August 11, 2026 @03:46AM (#49254676)
My previous SaaS used Stripe and I'm in the same position where I want to switch to MoR. Was going to go with Polar for payments and Dub.co for affiliates.
Not surprised - I live in IL and almost every SaaS I pay an extra "15% Chicago Lease Tax". Politicians hate tech here.
Re:Ask HN: What are you working on? (August 2026) on Sunday August 09, 2026 @08:01PM (#49237612)
A lot of Claude plugins.

https://github.com/mrieck/demoday-claude-plugin - create demo videos for your projects using Claude

https://github.com/mrieck/overboard-plugin - CTO assistant, PM helper Claude plugin

https://plugmyplugin.com - Weekly voting contest and directory for Claude Plugins similar to Devhunt/ProductHunt

Show HN: DemoDay – Claude Plugin that creates demo videos for your projects

https://github.com/mrieck/demoday-claude-plugin

I needed to use more of my Claude Max sub - so now I have Claude make demo videos for my projects or new features.Claude looks at your project, writes a script, drives your app, then it uses your Fal API key and Remotion to build out all the scenes. If a scene looks bad or something needs to be added/edited, just ask for a revision. It uses Remotion for editing which is free for individuals,...

You should try my SnipCSS Claude Code plugin. It still uses MCP as skill (haven't converted to CLI yet), but it does exactly what you want for reproducing designs in Tailwind/CSS at AI speeds.

I've had that problem with my free Chrome extension: (bring your own fal.ai key)

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ai-slop-canvas/dogg...

To be honest it doesn't take long to add a new model/params. It's evaluating the models to see if they're even worth including that takes the most time.

Re:A chatbot's worst enemy is page refresh on Friday February 20, 2026 @04:05PM (#47093956)
No mention of ChatGPT? Anyone else have this problem:

Go to ChatGPT.com while logged in, start typing right away, 8 words into typing it clears the text in the form. Why?

Re:I’m joining OpenAI on Monday February 16, 2026 @10:15AM (#47036061)
How can you avoid the guy doing PR?

Saw retweets of him saying Codex is way better than Claude Code on X. Then saw those retweets in ads on Reddit. This was 3 days before the announcement he was joining OpenAI. Whole series of events including the podcast tour seems contrived and setup by OpenAI.

Re:Ask HN: Any example of successful vibe-coded product? on Tuesday December 30, 2025 @03:58PM (#46437911)
Not sure about success - but I vibe-coded a Chrome extension that uses your fal.ai API key to create/edit AI images/videos in a visual workflow:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ai-slop-canvas/dogg...

I think it's decent complexity for something where I didn't even write one line of code. (all Claude Code)

Re:Fuck You, I Won't Use Tailwind on Tuesday December 23, 2025 @04:30PM (#46369698)
Everything should be Tailwind because all code is written by LLMs these days.

If you need a converter for a normal HTML/CSS component, my free extension SnipCSS is the best Tailwind converter. I haven't seen anything else come close.
