No, they do not seem to he equivalent. Not a mathmatician but running the Deepseek proof through ChatGPT gives:

"If everything is made rigorous:

You would have a valid independent proof It would contain real structural insight It would not replace the flow proof as the “best” proof

But:

It would still be a meaningful alternative proof with explanatory power, not just a redundant one."

Tried the same prompt in DeepSeek 4

https://chat.deepseek.com/share/nyuz0vvy2unfbb97fv

Comes up with a proof.

Can the other AI agents such as Gemini, Calude or Deepseek etc also solve this problem?
Even during president Obama. the US spied on Merkel's mobile phone.
"lithium-ion batteries .. degrade after just 1,000 cycles" If you charge your car battery twice a week and complete a full cycle then we are still talking about like 9 years to reach 1000 cycles. If you charge your phone every day, and do a full cycle, then we are close to 2.7 years. But you will probably not do a full cycle. So, I guess lithium-ion batteries are not really that bad.
Re:Norway's wealth fund now worth $319,900 per citizen on Saturday February 01, 2025 @03:43AM (#42896900)
Norway as a state may be rich. but the state is also very afraid of spending too much money within the country as not to drive up inflation, salaries etc. In Norway the school children do not even get free/hot lunches (compared to e.g. Sweden).
Re:A Clone of Deluxe Paint II Written in Python on Friday July 26, 2024 @01:02AM (#41075895)
There was a version of this even for the Atari ST.
200 years, will "computers" then even have a usb interface?
Vegan diets are prone to vitamin B12 deficiencies. Same with vitamin D.
According to Flightradar24, https://twitter.com/flightradar24/status/1742136715253313938, the Japanese coast guard aircraft was not equipped with a ADS-B transponder. Probably because it's not a requirement for military aircraft. That can explain why the ATC and/or JAL was not aware of the exact location of the plane.
Re:Can a Passenger Hack an Airplane? on Sunday November 26, 2023 @06:57AM (#38420953)
The passenger entertainment system typically displays some information related to flight location, speed, altitude, ETA and so on. Where does that info come from ? If it does come from the "Aircraft Control Domain, or ACD" then these two systems are probably not "completely isolated" as claimed in the article?
Generally, tap water in the US doesn't have a pleasant taste, often accompanied by a strong chlorine odor. It's therefore understandable why many people opt for bottled water. Improving filtration or treatment methods seems like the best solution to cut down on the number of bottles.
Seems to have missed out on durian.
Everyone should have realized by now that online services can not guarantee any level of security.
Re:Breakfast cereal is in long-term decline on Sunday September 17, 2023 @09:14AM (#37544736)
Just skip breakfast and do intermittent fasting.
How could it be inoperable if a human controlled robot managed to remove it?
Re:Ask HN: Why is LK-99 public? on Wednesday August 02, 2023 @07:49AM (#36969561)
The Wikipedia page lists the publication history, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LK-99#Publication_history and the initial paper and patent history go back to 2020.
Re:Chicago95 – Windows 95 Theme for Linux on Sunday July 30, 2023 @06:58AM (#36929899)
Some of these old style themes are interesting for nostalgic reasons but then after a while you do realize that there are reasons why the world has moved on.
Re:Aspartame is set to be declared a possible carcinogen on Thursday June 29, 2023 @01:06PM (#36523305)
Perhaps this will finally increase the popularity of Stevia.
Re:Debris field found in search for missing submersible on Thursday June 22, 2023 @12:43PM (#36434928)
Probably better to go away in an instant rather than sitting and waiting for the inevitable to happen.
Technical problems aside, there were probably many American citizens onboard. Landing in Russia. perhaps even getting a stamp in the passport, may not be very favourable for some of them.
The article starts with the statement: "For more than a thousand years, the spicy ...". I'm sure some kind of kimchi was made thousand years ago, but they definitively did not have chili back in the days. Chili must be a recent addition resulting in the kimchi we see today dating only a few hundred of years.
Re:Ask HN: What's on your home server? on Friday January 06, 2023 @05:59AM (#34273340)
No one has mentioned flight tracking. Add a ADS-B dongle and antenna to track flights around you and optionally feed them to flight tracking sites.
Why don't they add a 'Donate' button as well as which can pop up at regular intervals and people can donate extra as they wish ?
One important aspect: The AZ vaccine was in Norway (and many EU countries) initially only approved for those under 65. The AZ vaccine in Norway has therefore solely been given out to health workers. On the other hand, in the UK the vaccine has been given out to both elderly and to health workers. It is quite possible that the immune response from AZ is not quite the same across age groups and may at times be more severe for a younger population.
I wonder if these probes may rather be captured by humans in a few hundred or thousands of years and placed in museums back on earth. With faster space travel techniques that is a possible scenario.
