Re:What It's Like to Work in One of America's Data Centers on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @06:33AM (#49799062)
I did the same in europe and burnt out with my colleague after ~3 years. Working and driving at night, barely enough sleep and overtime compensation during the time the body needs to recover was the worst. I probably aged 10 years in that time.
The page wasn't loading when I tried to open it. I thought it must be the Hacker News hug of death.

Test
There is a NGO in Germany (Space-Eye) working with satellite images for search and rescue purposes.

I know from some people involved there that they are always looking for developers and data scientists.

The main page is in German but the call for volunteers (you need to scroll down to "Volunteers for Space-Eye") is in English.

I have the same setup and use the following software to send the switch signal to the monitor.

PayPal has a banking license in Luxembourg which allows them to operate in Europe.

I guess it depends on the region/country.
