Re:Ghostty 1.4.0 on Wednesday October 28, 2026 @10:36AM (#50274386)
I tried so hard to use the quick terminal but it does not work anywhere close to as nice as iTerm2's hotkey window.

  keybind = global:cmd+ctrl+alt+shift+t=toggle_visibility
overall I have had better experience using `toggle_visibility` to show/hide Ghostty for hotkey style window.
I have a question as a Senior Platform Engineer in charge of AWS in my company, claude-code supports both Bedrock and Mantle. I don't get what's the difference for me or any other engineer in my company to use Anthropic's models via Bedrock or Mantle?
Cost of using Anthropics models is same wether buying from AWS or Anthropic directly, Most likely OpenAI models will be the same

Re:IBM to Acquire Confluent on Tuesday December 09, 2025 @05:17AM (#46203322)
Confluent had great stuff but their prices were crazy. When we got a quote from them, it was 20x more than what we could run on our own. We got quoted something like ~500k/year and my math on running it on AWS came around 25k for the same sized cluster via Strimzi operator on dedicated K8s nodes. We could hire a dedicated 3 person team to manage the cluster for the same price lol.

Now AWS is eating Confluent's lunch with it's managed Kafka. AWS MSK is still a little rough like all AWS services but it's still cheaper and a no-brainer if you are already on AWS.

Sinder Sorhus is god damn amazing for the amount of high quality stuff they make

This about donet/runtime?

Show HN: Faster local AWS EKS access

https://github.com/Moulick/cache-eks-token

Simple script to replace `aws` in your Kubeconfig for users of AWS EKS. Reduces the pain of using kubectl with AWS EKS a lot.The default way is to use aws eks get-token command, but it is not cached and it is not very fast. It's slow because:1. Every kubectl command will do an `aws eks get-token` which makes an API call to AWS2. aws cli is python. When running kubectl in a loop, you can very...

Elastic also did not during the Log4J debacle.

Yep, I wonder the same
Have you checked Strimzi for Kafka on k8s? it’s super good
