Anyone actually using this as a daily driver? I am completely Apple free except for the the phone. I would love to be able to ditch that.
People call me crazy for having local backups, cloud backups, and offline backups for my critical assets.
Why do parents go jump through hoops and are willing to break laws to get their kids into top colleges? People often say bribery is rampant in China. We have Super PACS and political donations and revolving doors.
Not a huge fan of Google.
As an anecdote, I hear people call out the CPC in public places in China.
I get gizmos like this as gifts every now and then. I never bothered opening any of them up. What are some fun things that we can do with these things besides their intended use?

I recall reading somewhere:

In China, you can change the policies, but you can't change the party. In America, you can change the parties, but you cannot change the policy.

It is. Plain and simple.

They do it, so we should too. Got it.
I find the whole Huawei situation to be quite riveting.

TikTok = Chinese government? That is quite a leap there.
All I am hearing from this is, "We must reopen the economy."
This is just stupid. If you're referring to suicides in Foxconn factories, you first need to consider the size of the workforce. The suicide rate at Foxconn factories was, at the time of the report, and is still currently significantly lower than that of the US.
You're not alone in this thinking. Chinese corporations have been investing heavily in Africa for quite some time now.
In what world do you pay a skilled American $12.50/hr? And that is before considering benefits.
Winners normally do not get overly worked up about the vanquished.
In the case of Facebook being banned, there is precedence for that.

Last I looked, a good portion of the funding for Indian startups is from China.
