What ecosystem? How can one vendor oneself into one provider / model? Those harnesses and features are kinda the same.
I understand your point. But hear me out.

I’ve been following this subject for years and this is my best and honest personal summary.

It’s just people don’t know that this is a thing and are “locked” into believing that things are the same as in 2020.

If anyone is interested in details, LMK. It’s one Google search away anyway.

Ask your LLM for details but

TLDR

Apple since mid 2024 was forced by EU and Japan to allow other engines.

There are hurdles but the path is open.

Both Chrome / Blink and Firefox / Gecko have made prototypes but haven’t moved past that.

It seems that there is no money or will to see it through.

So it’s not all “Apple bad doesn’t allow it”

One can argue that Switzerland is doing a good job too. Also, it is profitable for existing plants for the next 60 years or so.

Maybe our hero is a human

You can fully care about one person at a time.

You can not genuinely care about every person on the planet every moment.

Potato potato. Js classes are just closure sugar. So what?

Syntax makes sense and improves readability in business logic. Readability is good

Mobile apps handle app data better. They have their own well defined jail to work with. Simple to locate “stuff”
I maintain a pretty complex app to draw 2D graphics for 3D objects. For packaging productions. Basically draw your packaging design with 3D preview. So this is basically a 2d3D editor with TONS of business and material knowledge.

It’s powered by react.

But it so decoupled from react you can slap mini gui in any other form / framework in a day

I think it is about input. Before I had to type regex, now I just type text and fuzzy finds more, regex style. Awkward wording, but code seems cool.
This is how organizations like IRGC work. There is always a big campus like area where there is everything, including schools for indoctrination and new future recruits.

> We won't be in a supply crunch forever.

This what always happens in capitalism. Scarcity is almost always followed by glut

> work at a European identity wallet system that uses a zero knowledge proof age identification system

Well, as soon someone points their chinaphone camera on a passport, it is already over.

This whole setup is a nightmare fuel.

You want to check over 18? Fine, let adults set their kids devices in a "child" mode. Problem solved.

No need to create a stasi dreamland.

This looks so pretty and awesome :)
Re:Rabbit Ear "Origami": programmable origami in the browser (JS) on Wednesday February 04, 2026 @09:57AM (#46886570)
This is a genuinely beautifully written book chapter on origami math/geometry, with interactive graphics and playgrounds.

I guess. In Poland when I go to gov offices I need to sign 25 GDPR clauses

Is it a runner minute or workflow running minute? That would be a massive difference. Would people pay for idle time or not?
Re:Boring Is What We Wanted on Wednesday October 29, 2025 @12:14PM (#45748905)
Replaced 12 mini with 17 pro. Not worth it. Will go back. Too big too heavy
Re:How I bypassed Amazon's Kindle web DRM on Friday October 17, 2025 @03:49AM (#45614238)
I’ve stopped buying any books that have that kind of a DRM. Kindle / audible apps are horrible
Re:Ask HN: How to stop an AWS bot sending 2B requests/month on Friday October 17, 2025 @03:40AM (#45614183)
Maybe add this IP to a blacklist? https://iplists.firehol.org/ It would be easier to pressure AWS when it is there
AFIKR two facilities do this kind of treatment. One in Canada and one in China. There already was a HN threads with some reporting to have been treated in Canada.

Apparently, only some tumors have a distinct and unique shape / size. The “trick” is to calibrate the resonance exactly to the size of the cancer cell. So that resonance would “hurt” only that kind of shape / size cell. Which was much harder to do than it sounds. Sadly not all cancer cells are unique and not that “easily” distinguishable by size

But I am not in the medical field and just repeating what I’ve read.

Re:Does our "need for speed" make our Wi-Fi suck? Yes. on Friday October 10, 2025 @09:18PM (#45545650)
Oh, one more idea. You can use existing coax cables (tv cable) via adapters to get 1-2 reliable gbps over cable. For e.g. a switch with an additional access point
As easy as php for simple stuff. And can do complex SPA stuff.
